What a pleasant surprise. Semi upscale feel, but down to earth service and menu. Food was very good, portions were good and prices reasonable.

Portions seem to be getting smaller, sea food pasta barely and app, haddock 1/3 of what it used to be! Frankie was great as always! This use to be our favorite restaurant, but at 360$ counting tip we all left a little hungry! Lamb shank used to be Turkey leg now it’s a chicken one!!

The Village Tavern is one of the best restaurants in the Kennebunk area. The food is delicious. The lamb dish is extraordinary. The wait staff is friendly and professional. It has plentiful seating both inside and out and a bar area as well. Whenever we want a cozy, intimate dinner, we always head to the Village Tavern.. You can always look forward to a great meal and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend going to the Village Tavern. You will not be displeased. Ken Kennebunk, ME

The food and rinks were amazing. We got the fried goat beet salad as an appetizer. Served new we were sharing so they made two separate plates. Food was plentiful and tasted so good. Service was attentive and nice. Brussel sprouts were crispy.

Great rotation on the menu side. The room is very nice and cozy. It does get a little loud with a full house. Staff is always very attentive.

Absolutely amazing food! Starter to Salad to Entre to Desert, every bite was outstanding! Join our good friends Elias and Jane, at their recommendation, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Mark, our server was phenomenal too! 5 Stars!

First off our waiter was amazing. That being said...wayyy to many people and very loud parties. Filet was over cooked, dry and a solid 0 stars. Tried a bite of the short ribs, chewy and flavorless. Only decent thing I had were the fries. Find a better spot, especially for the price tag

Went there on New years Eve. Food is good, but I personally think the portion has rooms for improvement, especially with the high price. For example, my main dish is around $50: supposed to be suf n turf: it has a tiny filet mignon with 2 small shrimps and 2 scallops. The dining room is super dimmed, we (as well as many others) had to use phone flash light to read menu. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience though.

This place made our bellies full, our spirits bright, and our friendships merry! If I ever make it to Heaven, there damn-well better be a Village Tavern up there otherwise I'm asking to have my sins reconsidered. Thanks for the spiritual awakening, Village Tavern!Kid-friendliness: We can't have kids due to my low T, but if we could have, we would have named one Lunar and the other Solar.

Good food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It's pricey but if that's not an issue it's definitely cozy and yummy.

A hidden gem in Kennebunkport. Excellent service, delicious food served on hot dishes. Great selection of side dishes, and homemade sourdough bread. The baked Alaska dessert was not only beautiful but delicious.
