This place is a gem! Sat at the bar and had excellent service! Ambiance inside was perfect and cute. Parked behind Sonder & Dram with no issues.I started with an espresso martini (spectacular!) and the French onion dip, which was incredible! The salt and vinegar chips that came with it were delicious and fresh! Had the steak & frites for a main with the blue cheese butter, a fantastic paring. Ended with a delicious crème brûlée! Hands down best restaurant in L/A!!

I went with a friend for Maine Restaurant Week and it was a great experience! We each tried a different prix fixe menu item. The braised beef short ribs were fantastic and the maple eclair was amazing!!! ?I would absolutely go back again for the regular menu items, and I'm excited to try the brunch menu soon!

Bon Vivant is elegant, unpretentious fine dining at its best. My wife and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary here, and we were not disappointed! The hostess, Shannon, was lovely and welcoming, promptly seating us in a romantic corner window table. Our server Wayne, was phenomenal!! He was well versed in all aspects of Bon Vivant, and provided impeccable service and hospitality throughout our entire evening. He was attentive without being intrusive. Thank you so much!We started with delicious cocktails, (Classic Old Fashioned with Bulleit Bourbon) perfectly crafted by mixologist Joe. The menu is eclectic and tantalizing, making decisions difficult. The sea salt buns($7), with whipped honey butter were hot, fresh, delicious and addictive! The BBQ carrots($14), were mind blowing. Local carrots prepared with Moroccan spices, slightly charred, and served over a chickpea puree, with toasted hazelnuts, a dollop of sour cream, drizzled hot honey, and chopped parsley. The textures in this dish combined with the sweet and savory flavors, will have you licking your plate clean! Unbelievably delicious and a must try! This is not your Mother's usual carrot preparation. Our entree choice was the 8 oz. Filet Mignon($40), with Béarnaise sauce served with whipped potatoes, and grilled asparagus. The filet was cooked to perfection & the velvety Béarnaise sauce added the necessary bright, herbal notes. The sides were on point, and delicious. Chef Michael perfectly executed every course of this memorable dining experience!Wayne our server, continued his kindness, in sending us on our way with a complimentary dessert! Bidding us a parting Happy Anniversary!Highly recommend!! Cannot wait to return! Bon Vivant is a must if in the Lewiston/Auburn area. Excellent in every possible aspect of fine dining and service!!

My wife and I went in to Bon Vivant for the first time for our anniversary. Wayne our server was fantastic as was the rest of the staff. His recommendations were spot on and jovial personality made it a delightful experience. The food was excellent from the appetizers, to the main course and the desert. We look forward to coming back again! Mr. & Mrs. Drew

I really wanted this to be a great experience as fine dining in this area is limited and I was hoping for another restaurant choice. It was my wife’s birthday and I wanted it to be a special occasion so I reserved a window table for two for a more intimate experience. We arrived on time and the hostess was friendly in her greeting and asked if it was a special occasion. I said that it was my wife’s birthday. She wished her a happy birthday and led us to our table…my first of several disappointments. She sat us in the bench seats with other couples on either side of us. I noticed that the two window tables were newly occupied. So there goes my intimate table experience. I ordered the sea salt buns as an appetizer and they were delicious, the honey butter made the difference. My wife ordered the 6oz fillet mignon and I ordered the pork loin. When our meal’s arrived I was in disbelief as her fillet looked like a small strip steak. Next we were told that they were out of steak knives and then we were given fresh butter knives . We both looked at each other and thought you’ve got to be kidding. It’s 7:15 and it’s you’re out of steak knives? Not to be deterred we both managed our dishes with butter knives. We both commented that our meals were very average. Not great, not awful, but very average. We are both very familiar with fine dining and if your entrees are going to be priced like Fore street or Street and company you should deliver a comparable meal. Three stars is being generous. I will probably go back at some point but I will definitely give it some time and hopefully they will get it together.

The eggs Benedict tasted stale. Eggs were overcooked. French toast was dry and burnt. Maybe good for dinner but not breakfast food.

I've been there 6 times over the last year, each time, I'm amazed at the vibe, the food and the service. All wonderful. Wayne, the server is fab. Drinks are incredible and food is on point. It feels like I'm in a Brooklyn Bistro. I've also had business dinners here that customers are still talking about. Love this restaurant, a go-to when I'm in town.Parking: parking lot and street parking available.
