First time on 3/15/2024. Food is really good. Price is 100% worth the amount of food served. Friendly service. CALL AHEAD! priority is given to orders placed by phone. if you call and cannot get through, try again. you may need to try several times as they are always on the phone taking orders for lunch and dinner. This small place is extremely busy.Parking: This is located in a gas station, so the only parking is within the station's own parking lot. about 6 vehicles can park, with the rest of the space being for the people at the pumps.

El Pocho's was excellent.I'm visiting from Pittsburgh and have had a hard time finding good authentic Mexican in that semi large city. El Pocho's in Lewiston ME blows them all out of the water.I had chicken enchiladas with mixed red and green enchilada sauce every bite was sooo satisfying.My barometer for good Mexican is how good the beans and rice are and I could definitely order and eat a full plate of just their rice and beans.The folks coooking and serving there are friendly and super hospitable.I'll definitely be going back before my visits over. If I could give it a 10 star review I would.

Ordered here for the first time last night - easily the best quesadilla I've had in years, if not ever. Made it a meal with the beans and rice, and also had a side of chips and guac. 11/10 all round. This will definitely be a household staple.

It was my first time at El Pocho's after learning about it a few years ago. It exceeded my expectations. I cannot recommend this gem highly enough. The staff welcomed us and made us feel like family. They were happy to make adjustments for my picky son. All of the food was amazing. The egg roles were unexpected and delicious. I cannot wait to return.

Just to preface, I grew up in between Corpus Christi, TX and San Antonio, TX. I have been looking for a great mexican place since I have moved up here a year and a half ago.This is the best Mexican place I’ve found by far.They are originally from a few hours south of my hometown and they do amazing food. The kitchen is exactly as I expected and their tortilla chips are actually legit compared to every other place I’ve been. I now will be going twice a week lol.Show this place some love and their food will absolutely do the same.

This place is absolutely amazing. It shares space with a gas station, so don't freak out if your gps sends you to one. The food is incredible, highly recommend the chicken enchiladas, the beans and rice are spiced to perfection, and the homemade hot sauces are the way to go! You can purchase beverages from the attached convenience store and drink them in the restaurant. Paper coffee cups are available to house your libations... However, if you come in Thursday around 5:15, you'll have to reach waaaaay back in the cooler to find a tall corona can...
