I brought a friend with me. I've been there before. It has been a while, but as soon as I walked in, I was treated like an old friend. I even got a hug. The food is great. I had a burger and my friend wanted a hot dog. If I am in the area again, I will be back.. if going, you might have to find parking. There is parking there, but the place is busy, so you might have to look for a place to park. But it is worth it.Parking: There is parking, but the place is so good that you might have to find parking on the streets. I can tell you that it is worth it.

This was a wonderful place to stop for dogs and burgers after taking my son and his friend to the trampoline park! Now if only my boy had heeded the warning that the chili dog would be too much for him.Kid-friendliness: They were great to the two 2nd graders I brought with me, even offering lollipops at meal's end

Ordered hot dogs, Cheeseburger and fries to go. Red snapper just lie you want, cheeseburger perfect. Fries a disappointment. Will skip em next time. A place like this should be selling old fashion crinkle cut. Other than that. A o.k.

Nothing is ever going to top the original Bolley's in Waterville, but this is a good second best.

Simones' Hot Dog Stand was recently highlighted in DownEast Magazine, has been featured in People magazine, and it's a hotspot that has been the center of several political rallies. It was founded in 1908 and is particularly known for its "Lewiston Lobsters" — Maine red-snapper hotdogs on steamed buns (you can get them grilled, too). It's more than a hot dog place, though -- it's a cozy cafe that also serves burgers, fries, subs, sandwiches, breakfast items, salads, chili, soups, milkshakes, etc. I just had their most popular item -- a red dog in a steamed bun with spicy mustard, relish, chopped onions, and celery salt - and it was delicious. I met the owner Jimmy Simones when he came over to ask how everything was -- he was very friendly and gracious. This will definitely be a stop whenever I'm in Lewiston.

While traveling through Maine to New Hampshire, we were talking about finding a place for hot dogs. We were craving them. So my friend googled where can we have hot dogs and Simones Hot Dog Stand came up. We were within a mile and how lucky we were to find this gem. When you walk in, you are taken back in time to the diner era. This business has been around for 109 years and Jimmy is third generation with his son about to take over. When you walk in, you are greeted by Jimmy Simone. A Greek American that makes you feel right at home. His smile and engaging personality is contagious. The staff is wonderful, smiling from ear to ear and their aim is to please. They have been featured in People magazine twice, have been visited by politicians, governor and Donald Trump Jr. Of course, famous for their hot dogs, I had to order one with cheese and onions. It was so good I had to have another one. The hot dogs are red and delicious. I also had onion rings which were yummy. My friend Brenda had cheeseburger and she said it was very good. My other friend Dan went down the same path as me and had two hot dogs. He loved his too. I am so glad we found this place. If you are in the area of Lancaster NH, stop by and see Jimmy and his staff. He even came by several times and sat down and talked to us. I left smiling because it was a great experience!
