My wife and I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out where this place was. The Yelp listing says it's open until 5pm, but we couldn't spot it on Sunday afternoon at 4:45, or Monday afternoon. Finally, on our way out of Old Orchard Beach on Tuesday morning we saw it! Of course it was closed, probably for the season like many other businesses in OOB after Columbus Day weekend. So my review is "Hard to find, just past the railroad tracks in OOB. Didn't eat there, so this review should actually count as Not Applicable.'

The food is so delicious and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The service was quick and food was brought right to us. The seating setup is outdoors and very comfortable. Again, the food was exquisite, we will definitely be returning!

This is hands down the best quality food, the freshest seafood and best tasting food in downtown Old Orchard Beach. My husband and I have eaten at several restaurants here while on vacation and there are none with this quality of food. We literally came back to OOB this year just so we could eat here again because of the food and friendliness of the entire staff. The owners not only operate the business, but are chefs and do their own cooking and make everything fresh. They are super nice, and truly enjoy serving their customers and offering the finest food downtown! This is strictly an outdoor eatery, and they serve only fresh seafood, so when they run out, or when there’s bad weather, they have to close for the day. We have eaten here 5 times, and the quality has been extremely consistent. Each time we’ve had their fresh haddock sandwiches (which are not fried, but have a delicious crispy outer crumb crust), and have also had their frozen wine/fruity drinks (so good), shrimp cocktail, freshly made blueberry pie with vanilla gelato (I’m a pie snob, and typically don’t like anyone’s pies other than my own homemade ones, but this was absolutely delicious, I will def be going back for more!!) We cannot say enough good things about this eatery, go check it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed!! Laurel & John

Came on a Sunday morning, 10min before opening. We were third in line. I settled on the shrimp roll, lobster bisque, and blueberry pie. The roll was good but didn't blow me away. The bisque and blueberry pie (w vanilla ice cream) was probably some of the best I've ever had! Rolls come with coleslaw, chips, and pickles - I liked that. Other places require you to order your sides separately. I'd come early to reduce the wait and get a good spot. It seems like a 2-3 person operation. The lady taking orders was also the one bringing food out to the table - so food comes out a little slow.

We enjoyed it for what it is, and perhaps being at the end of our trip my pallet was saturated with ocean cuisine. The location is simple with outdoor seating, very friendly service, and fairly quick order delivery. The appetizer crab cakes was a huge portion. The wine slushies were a nice touch to cut the warm summer weather. We ordered lobster rolls and lobster bisque and the tuna dish. I feel the recipes overall lacked some flavor....but again! My standard may have been raised due to the array of lobster and crab I had had previously in my travel.

I had an amazing lunch here. The staff was so friendly and the service was great! The food was fresh and made to order. I ordered the lobster roll and mini crab cake starter. They were both so tasty and the portions are generous. I highly recommend eating here while visiting OOB!

I found this place on yelp and was eager to try it when in OOB. I was a bit bummed when I got there on a Monday thinking it was open (because there was no indication that it wasn't open) and it was closed. Alas. I finally got it on Wednesday and it did NOT disappoint! I got a small cup of lobster bique and a roll. I couldn't believe the amount of lobster in either! Both were very flavorful and fresh, and I liked that they gave bags of chips rather than just throwing a handful onto the plate. My husband got a lobster roll and a strawberry rosé (I think was the name of it). That was also delicious and very refreshing. A plastic straw, however, would have stood up much better to the drink than the paper one did. Overall a wonderful lunch experience. The seating area is small but there were empty tables the whole time we were there. It's a great spot for people watching and definitely a great spot for lunch. The prices are steep (~$110 for our lunch) but it was SO GOOD. Highly recommend!

1st lobster roll on my short Maine trip and it did not disappoint! Great small spot that we can easily go to with big and little kids. Ordered the haddock sandwich, lobster roll, and of course I needed to also try the crab cakes. Everything tasted great and very fresh tasting.

LOVE the food!! It’s a bit pricy but it’s worth it. My kids loved their mahi, tuna and shrimp bowl. I love the seaweed sidings and kimchi and other salad. And their Lobster roll… ohhh I wanted more. The chef was so good to give us extra rice?.

Lives up to the positive reviews! I've been in Maine for a week and I've had a lobster roll every day; this is the ONE! It's light and fresh, not smothered in butter or mayo. The aioli dressing is spot on and compliments the already perfect lobster in the only place it needs any. It's not fancy and is perfect for a casual lunch. I would love to see some drinks that pair well and there is certainly space for something unique in that regard.

Saw a bunch of good reviews for this place and we even talked to a person who was sitting there to see if it was good before we tried it. They said it was the best lobster roll they've had on the trip, which seemed promising. My friend and I both ordered one (it was around $30 with tax for a 4 oz - crazy), and I thought it was okay. Fresh for sure but didn't feel like there was enough flavor. I haven't had many lobster rolls, so I don't know how they're supposed to be, but I felt like it could use a lemon or something to elevate the flavor rather than just pouring butter on it

This place hands down has the best lobster rolls you will find. This was my second time here after first visiting a few years ago when they first opened and they did not disappoint. They are extremely friendly and provide great service as well. The lobster here is consistently cooked perfectly and is hand picked fresh daily. I have tried lobster at many places in old orchard beach and nothing comes anywhere near to the quality of Mainly Lobster!!!

We attempted twice to go eat here. You never know when they are open which isn't often. I understand they only serve fresh seafood and close once supply runs out but I have 2 suggestions: First, list hours as "varies, please call" instead of hours they don't actually keep and secondly, have a working number. These are constructive criticisms and I can't comment as to the actual food since they were never open when we attempted to eat there. Additionally the owner seems to have a chip on her shoulder whenever someone posts something she doesn't like. Back home we call that being in the business of going out of business

The lobster roll is 10/10 and the best you'll find in Old Orchard Beach or Saco. Totally rivals The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport which not many can say. The service was excellent, too. The comment would be that it should include chips.
