Well the night started fine, food and drinks at the bar with some friends. It was closing time and they sold us a last round. All of a sudden one staff person without warning barked at us that they closed an hour and a half ago and the bartender would like to go home. Huh? We were legit having a conversation with the bartender that she initiated with us when we're getting scolded by someone else to leave. How about dont sell the last round and then tell people to screw, especially mid conversation. We would have happily left before 4 more drinks were bought. I get food service is not easy, but yelling at a group of 50 somethings who had good tabs and good interactions the whole time with staff and patrons completely uncalled for.

Last Sunday of summer.It was a warm day and we sat on the patio.Busy AFOur server was fabulous, friendly and upbeat.Margarita was tasty and our food was excellent.The guy playing guitar and singing was pretty good too.We enjoy it here!

Not too loud or crazy, reasonable prices, good portions. Delicious chowder, whole clams, and fried fish. Recommend rum bowl painkiller. Right on the beach near pier.

The location is great but the service is trash. This was our second visit to this place. The first time everything was okay, but the service took FOREVER, but we decided to give them another try this year. This was a mistake. The wait time for your food had not improved AND waitress spilled a drink on me right when the food arrived. It was in my hair, shirt and shorts and ruined not just the meal but my entire night.I was embarrassed, wet and did not want to sit uncomfortably to finish the meal, so we asked for everything to go. In case you were wondering, we were given a measly $10 off plus a T-shirt, which is less than the cost of my meal.This place is poorly run, which is sad considering it’s in a great location.

Bartender automatically added fries to my order without asking. I hate that. Manager corrected but not a sorry or thank you the entire evening. Seemed like a regular thing. If they steal in front of customers just think what they do in the kitchen.

Food was meh for the price. Took a long time to come out. Waitress was nice enough to bring my daughter a pickle while we waited after she asked how much longer. I ordered gluten-free meal for my son, asking for no frees since they were cross contaminated in same fryer. We told server he had Celiac and his meal came out with fries. Then, on the way out I was interrogated about my reusable mug with coffee that I had already walked into the restaurant with when we got there. I had it from walking around the pier before dinner. I had ordered two beers at the restaurant that were both finished at the table. Apparently, people pour drinks into reusable cups and walk out, so it was assumed I was walking out with a drink. This wasn't something that I was even aware of, so perhaps I can understand why I was asked about it. (Still oddly rude.) However, when I told the man I didn't have alcohol in it, and it was my coffee from earlier. I got a disrespectful look followed by "I'll have to take your word for it." I'll never eat there again and I'm so disappointed that I gave them my money. Lots of it.

Sitting on the deck overlooking the ocean is awesome. Plus Bang Bang Shrimp are amazing. We went a few times in the past 2 weeks. We only had 1 not so great visit and that was not the food, but the service was not great on the last visit at the bar.
This is actually one of our favorite restaurant in OOB. Right on the beach. The food and the service is always great. When we have a chance, we go and bring friends with us.

We went to Surf 6 Thursday,to hear a friend play.Ordered fried clams,that looked and tasted disgusting!!! The clams looked like they had no coating,and dropped into really old and dirty oil .I walked around to see that everyone's frind food looked dark ,overcooked and awful!!! 38 $...we left them on the table,and will stick with drinks in the future

Had an excellent overflowing lobster roll, with crispy onion rings, a classic whoppie pie and a blueberry infused Mule. Food was spot on, server was very friendly, and atmosphere was welcoming. Good music, happy people and a killer view. Been visiting OOB often since ‘86, don’t know why I haven’t visited sooner. I’ll definitely be back on my next visit.
