Had great selection but was crazy expensive. The chocolate was 7.50 per lb. Whichever we got chocolate and taffy not realizing the prices. We will definitely not returning. Delicious chocolates and typical beach taffy.

This candy store has everything for everyone.. my God, its shockingly expensive. My husband got 3 small choclate pieces and a salted caramel stick. I got one turtle piece and like 15 choclate covered peanuts. The bill was 18.00 ! I was shocked. Dollar general for me would have been more satisfying, hard to enjoy At that price.

You can’t go to OOB without stopping at Dickinson’s! Fresh fudge, Carmel popcorn, ice cream, salt water taffy in EVERY flavor and hard to find goodies like smarties lollies!

On July 31, 2022 HORRIBLE AWFUL EXPERIENCE TRAUMATIC, Never ever my family nor I will go there again. After going to Dickinson's Candy for more than 10 years summer after summer and taking the grand- kids, my grandson 17 yr. old now, tall skinny, olive skin, curly hair went in to buy taffy, right away this man started following him, who turned out to be the owner. so my grandson put a couple of handful of the different flavored taffy in the plastic bag and was going toward the scale to see how much he had and see if he should get more before he got on the check out line, I had given him $20. He made a mistake and decided to try 1 piece of the taffy and he put the rapper in the plastic bag , because all the previous years Dickinson's would allow 1 sample, and all of a sudden this man rushed snatched the bag out of my grandson hand opened it up pulled out the rapper and said you are a thief and my grandson did not know how to react to that and said "Sir I'll purchase a few more pieces," and the owner said that doesn't account for the one in your belly because you already ate it. You are a Thief and called the cops on him. This all happened while I was parking the car. I think Mike Dickinson acted in poor judgement all he had to do was say you will have to pay for that 1 piece which I think may be .25 cents at most if that and not call 911 which is for emergency only, The Police said the owner never wants my grandson in the candy store which Believe Me, we will never spend our hard earn money in a place like that. where we are not welcome by the color of our skin of the way we look, our ethnicity. I'm sure when the taffy is made some of it gets stuck on the rollers and the flavor may not taste right and he has to throw it out . How petty a grown bald man with gray hair. Gray Hair means Wisdom Mike Dickinson you have NONE !

When we first walked in we were greeted by a very nice older lady who welcomed us and made us feel right at home. Because my children are under 13 (12,9,7) I was responsible for filling their bags. They were excited as is to he expected. I was filling their bags with gum-balls and 3 fell out of the scoop and onto the floor. I immediately picked them up snd handed them to one of the employees and apologized. We then went over to scoop the candy legos and again 1 very small lego fell out if the scoop. I was then approached by a middle aged gentleman/employee who said “can we help you so that you stop wasting the candy.” I wasn’t sure I heard him right so I said “what” and he repeated himself again and said they would prefer to scoop so that I didn’t continue to “waste” the candy. I finally responded “I guess.” The man was condescending and rude and spike to me loud enough so that others heard. I should have walked out, but instead I spent $103 on candy for my kids that wasn’t worth more than $20z. Complete rip off!

Gotta stop for Candy! Kids love it and soo much selection to choose from. I always go for the good n plenty candies that way no one eats them on me!

WOW! What a rip-off. A "medium" cup of soft serve for $5. The cup was one of those 6oz plastic airplane cups, and it wasn't even filled to the top. The ice cream wasn't particularly tasty either.
So expensive, but that wouldn't be so bad if the size was at least decent. Nope! $8.75 for a small soft serve and it won't let me upload a picture, but it was just barely bigger than a shot glass. I thought I was being trolled. I don't leave many reviews unless a place is either a huge disappointment or hugely impressive. Would reccomend Fielders Choice down the road a bit, great ice cream place that's affordable, delicious, and decent portion size.

I don’t know what reviewer Zoe is talking about. I actually went here on both 8/20 and 8/21. Came out with a pound of salt water taffy one day and with a pound of 4 different flavors of fudge the next day. Overwhelming amount of selections for both taffy and fudge. Staff was also extremely friendly.

Not many flavors of ice cream, no hot fudge, no whipped cream, no toppings except sprinkles. We walked out. Come on it’s mid august, you should still have this stuff.

This stores selection was out of this world. My kids and husband had a fun time picking out loads of candy you don’t find everywhere, as well as tried and true favorites ! The store-made chocolates and salt-water taffy were delicious. It is definitely on the pricey side but that was expected of a candy store in a shore/tourist spot such as OOB .

We always like to stop at this candy shop when we visit old orchard. They have a huge variety of items within the store. Some are made there on the spot and some are unique mass produced items. We enjoy trying to different flavored fudges, salt water taffy, and bulk candy. This is not a cheap candy shop so you need to be willing to pay the price for the items that you buy.
