A couple of weeks ago I rated Spinneys a 2 that was because they were closed OFF SEASON and we had dipped in the ocean out front. Let me say that I eat at Spinneys during the summer. I have eaten there as long as I can remember and it has always been great place to go.

Blech. Way overpriced. Not so good food. Location is the only reason to stop here. I love Popham but would bring a picnic instead.

Located at the very end just before Fort Popham. Dirt parking lot that can be a bit tight if cars are leaving while you are trying to get in. Just make a wide swing and stay to one side and you'll be fine. Very casual, so when you walk in you don't know where to go but just wait around the door and someone will seat you. If it's a nice day then sitting outside on the picnic tables can be fun. We usually sit inside as we like chairs with a little back support on them, plus there's less wind and the view is the same. And about the view...it's right up there with the best, a very scenic ocean view.For lunch we tried the Strawberry Margarita's for $12 and they were good, (should be $9 but you are paying for the view). It was busy the last time we visited so it was a lively atmosphere which was fun. I had the Blacked Haddock sandwich for $20 and it was delicious. My partner tried the Chicken sandwich for $16 and it was very good, not overcooked, just crispy and juicy.All in all Spinney's is a nice place to go get a very casual meal. You'll see mostly jeans, t-shirts and the like, but the food is good and the view is nice. As with all ocean front establishments you will have to pay a little extra but you are getting a very nice view to go along with your meal.

Unbelievable setting, on the bay, seals swimming by. We had lobster and then ice-cream at the attached shop- perfect evening.

"This is a happy place. We walked in for lunch, were seated immediately in a sunny warm spot looking out to the water. The wait staff were prompt and friendly. I had the very best burger and my friend had the fried clams. Everything was delicious. The onion rings were yummy. We've started planning what other offerings on the menu we’ll try next time. It will be hard to choose, but we’re committed. That evening we went in for dessert. My friend said that the homemade blueberry pie was the best she’s ever had. I was very happy with my Johny Walker Red."

I've frequented this establishment numerous times over the summer, the quality of the food and drinks have been consistently fantastic. The staff are phenomenal, friendly and attentive. Very clean establishment. Prices are fair, especially when compared to similar restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.

The view is amazing, our waitress was sweet and helpful, the fish and chips were top notch! The non-seafood/fish options were a little boring.

I'm hoping it was a seriously bad night for them as the location and menu for this restaurant is fantastic, but they sure were totally disorganized and lacking management the Monday evening we dined there. Long, long wait for everything, no follow-up, and missing amenities and the final clincher two market priced meals being misquoted at a lower price than not being honored. Just a sad, sad experience, especially so when 3 of the guests were from out of state experiencing their first ever Maine lobster dinner.

The fish and chips were greasy and overcooked. Lobster bisque had one piece of overcooked claw meat. Used to love this place. Serious downgrade and expensive.

Spinneys has the best location around! The current owners bought the place a couple years ago and fixed up the bar area, simplified the menu, and generally cleaned up the place. Service is friendly and streamlined. I had a delicious burger and my sweetie had the lobster roll. We tried some local beers with our meal. We'll be back!
