This place is recently taken over by Nonesuch River brewing. Menu is classic pub fare. I had the Duxelle burger which was pretty good and very close to rare, as ordered. Really wish that Restaurants started using better (sourdough) buns for burgers though. We also had the thin onion rings (no batter at all) which were nice and crispy (portion was large for 2 people). My partner the fried chicken sandwich which was nice and crispy with jummy classic coleslaw. A plus was that the buns were lightly toasted so they were warm. All in all a decent, if not special, place.

We went here last year before Nonesuch Brewing took over. We weren't happy if you read my prior review. Now that the sign outside was changed to "Nonesuch River Brewing," we thought we would give it another try. The inside hasn't changed, and that was disappointing. We were seared upstairs near the noisy bar. The view of the lake is still beautiful. The beer list was not extensive, and the actual beers we ordered were not impressive. I love my stouts and the one they had a strange aftertaste. My husband didn't even finish his IPA ( they only had one on tap) because his too tasted weird. The Harvest Winter Salad was good, as was my thin, crispy, onion ring appetizer. My husband ordered the dry rubbed chicken wings but they were the whole wings and not pieces. We both thought they were too salty. His burger wasn't the best.

stupidly expensive!!! management should definitely reevaluate menu…. I got 3 fish nuggets for 22$ supposed to be Fish and Chips!!! usually you get a good filet… 18$ burger!!! weak compared to other local restaurants that value repeat customers

We did take out. I got the Carolina chicken sandwich which I thought was incredibly tasty. My wife got the fried chicken sandwich and she didn't really care for it all that much.Agreed that the awning on the outside of the facility still has the previous places name on it as mentioned in another review. Seems like an oversight when renaming this location as it can come off as a bit confusing.

Wasn't sure if it was still Cindy's Dockside still or Nonesuch River Brewing. Still says Cindy's outside. Nothing has changed as of yet. But we gave it a try. The different beers were really good. The pizza was ok. Looked like a greasy cheese pizza when it came out. It's supposed to be a hawaiian pizza .

Let me start with the positives. The hostess who greeted us at the door was friendly and explained the discrepancy in the signage - Nonesuch on roadside and Cindy’s on the building. Not a great start. We asked to be seated upstairs in the bar area as the ground level dining room looks like the dining area of a convalescent home. I was pretty shocked to see the second floor had not been updated with new ownership- like at all. I was even more shocked to see the Scarborough prices coupled with the 1970’s furniture and the stained carpet, not to mention the ceiling fan from 1986. Not good folks. The beer is decent and seems consistent with Scarborough/ canned offerings in stores. Our waitress was pleasant, but was way more interested in her side work than serving us. The fish chowder had zero flavor - none. I’ve never tasted such flavorless chowder, which isn’t great since I’ve lived in New England for the better part of my 50 years and have consumed a lot of chowder. The salt and vinegar dusted fries were mediocre, but again, lacked seasoning. It’s a good thing I didn’t order the 15$ red wine in a place that doesn’t even partially match up to the prices. The bartender was pleasant ( I had to get up from my table and order my own beer or I would still be sitting there waiting for my waitress to stop doing her side chores). I don’t leave many negative reviews. I am more apt to rave about the hard work of the staff in local establishments or leave a note of praise. This place is not it. Not even remotely congruous with it’s namesake and sister restaurant. I hope they figure it out.

Cool hole in the wall kind of brewery.... They had just opened a month ago so a lot of changes to come, but great service and great bar food with microbrew selections. Overlooks a beautiful lake, convenient to Sunday River. Good pit stop on the ride home to Mass / RI...
