My wife and I LOVE great coffee. We lived in Seattle for several years and and fell in love with the coffee in Seattle. I grew up near Portland and return to Maine a couple times a year. We were in Portland last week and wanted a great latte. We looked up Rwanda Bean on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Their latte is AWESOME!! One problem we find with a lot of coffee shops is that the latte is too hot (to the point of tasting burnt) or too milky. Rwanda's latte was as close to perfect as you can get (in our opinion). It was bold and flavorful - definitely not too milky. After leaving Portland, we went straight to Seattle. We stopped at some of our favorites (after being away for a few years) and were honestly a little disappointed. We got a latte at our most favorite spot in Seattle and it was a little burnt. We got a latte at our second favorite place in Seattle and it was too milky and not strong enough. So ... Rwanda sets our new bar! What a great treasure! Thanks Rwanda Bean! As I write this, I am making a latte on our stovetop with beans we bought from your shop.

I have been to this place serval times; overall the coffee and teas are good. The Chai is usually watered down... I don't recommend it. It's the customer service that gets me. You walk in and not one person working can greet you with a hello or smile. Friendliness and kindness go a long way... especially when they ask for a tip on the tip line. Imagine that! Ambiance is nice! Great place to read a book, study, write a paper.
