Great store if you are looking to source high end fish or meat!

Never been to the shop but I hope to visit one day! This place has been the cherry on top of my holiday dinners for 5 years now. The website is super easy to use and the shipping thru UPS is top-notch. An all around fantastic business.

Sadly I must agree with the numerous 1 star reviews citing poor customer service with an arrogant attitude. An unknown beneficiary sent us a gift salmon through this company--it arrived with no indication of who sent it, and in a box that was not marked "perishable" as food products are universally required to be shipped. When I contacted customer service to find out who sent us the gift and to comment on the insufficient packing, I received a snarky response that "temperature sensitive" is the same as "perishable," and no assistance with identifying the gift giver so we can thank them. Cross this business off your list of holiday gift suppliers!

I wish I could come here every day. The seafood is the best, the market is super adorbs and packed with great product, and the wine selection is great.

Asked for scallops (listed at 55$/pound) and smoked salmon (listed at 35$/pound), only to notice later that they weighted both together and sold the salmon at 55$ too.Be careful when you get at the counter and when you get the bill as this might not be the only shady practice.

Amazing staff!!!! The staff was very helpful and let us try caviar that was so good!!! We are also culinary students and really appreciated the information they shared about caviar. Honesty will have to be back again the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful keep it up guys!!

I hadn’t tried caviar in years, but the incredibly friendly staff at Browne made the buying process approachable, informative, and incredibly easy. George help us SO much! He was able to take the intimidation away from the process and really helped up pick out the perfect snack for a picnic. Excellent customer service and great product — we got excellent caviar, lightly smoked salmon that was the best I’ve had in years, and some extras. Worth the stop!

The "Soup Nazi" from "Seinfeld" has some serious competition here, not in personality, but certainly in quality. This place is outstanding!!!!! Although many varieties, cuts, and creative creations of fish preparations - fennel salt, for example - are offered in addition to wine and cheese, the daily homemade soups are out of this world incredible with robust palate pleasing flavors and generous amounts of seafood, etc. A cup of soup was just $5, and a bowl $9. This is a definite must on any foodie tour, so get in here before we both starve. More soup for you! Come back, everyday!

So happy to have randomly stopped in here! Fresh seafood and great artisanal breads, cheeses and meats too. The staff is very friendly and informative, especially George, who happily gave my partner and I crash course about caviar! We thought this place was going to be a quick pit stop for a snack, but it turned into an unforgettable experience

Very neat little fish market. I couldn't but much because I was visiting the port from a cruise but I am so glad I walked in ... The guys working there are super nice and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. It had some very interesting things to look at.

We got smoked scallops, they were soft and full of smoked flavor, no fishy taste at all

Sorry no photographsThis place is everything your have been told. Simply superbCaviar section is the best in the northeast, if you look online most of the places that are buying caviar are buying it and shipping it from browns.Every other high-end acoutrement you could possibly imagine from cheeses to wines are available in this store.Worth a stop even if you're not picking anything up

Picked up provisions for our carry on bag and enjoyed a beautiful and easy dinner on our first night home from vacation.
