We got an order for pickup on our trip and we were impressed with the ease of their online ordering system and they had a shelf between the double doors so that you could pick up Your order on the shelf. We got the Tom Yum soup with a spicy level of 1 but it was so spicy we actually couldn't have it until we returned home from our trip and mixed in additional broth and it was delicious! The sizes of the dinner entrees were a lot. I was able to save half of mine for later snacking / the next day. The pad kee mao was delicious and better than other drunken noodles that we have had. The pad Thai was okay- I really liked how the tofu was cooked but the noodles were a little different from what I was used to. The pork satay was perfectly cooked. Juicy and the sauce was good but difficult for us to get on since we couldn't really dip it or pour it without getting too much on it.

Friendly staff, food had good texture and was appealing but it lacked flavor. Very bland, needed lots of hot sauce with it.

I found Cheevitdee towards the end of our Portland trip, when we were all lobster rolled out. They seemed to have some pretty unique menu items, at least unlike the typical Thai fare in NYC restaurants. It was really the brunch menu that intrigued me but we didn't have time to come here for brunch, so we decided to check out the dinner menu. They only have delivery and takeout, which was fine by us since we weren't comfortable with indoor dining anyway. So we placed an order for pickup via GrubHub.I had the Thai Omelette (Thai-style omelette with ground pork, sriracha, served over rice). In my experiences, Thai-style omelettes are oily and on the drier side from being fried. This one was no different. It was also bland and I wish there was some more pork in there. I liked the rice they used though, which was some type of purple/brown rice. It was a nice change from the usual white Jasmine rice. This was a huge portion and I had leftovers for the next day. To drink, I had the Butterfly Pea Iced Tea, which was my first time trying this tea. It's hard to explain the flavor - it's almost like a sweet tea, but not as sweet. I can see this being very refreshing if you order an extremely spicy dishMy fiance had the Duck Curry (red curry soup with duck, bell pepper, eggplant, and tomato) and I immediately wish I ordered this instead. The broth was nice and flavorful (also paired with that purple rice), and the duck was nice and tenderThere are so many other menu items I wanted to try. Hopefully I'll get the chance the next time I'm in Portland!

ordered chives dumplings, jok/congee (vegetarian), and the bamee moo daeng for takeout. the chives dumplings were flavorful and the bamee moo daeng had a garlicky and slightly peppery gravy with a decent pile of veggies on the side. the congee was the star, though - SO flavorful with just the right amount of ginger, came with a variety of mushrooms, and !! the soft-boiled egg !! 4 stars for the other dishes but 10 stars for the congee.

Ordered takeout and got good food, fast service, and an seamless pick-up experience. I ordered the omelet with rice and enjoyed it. Wasn't blown away, but still got a good meal out of it

Cheevitdee was already warm and inviting with some of the best food in town, and somehow they became even more warm and inviting after this whole Covid stuff got started. The service is above and beyond. The staff treats every customer like a part of their extended family. With delicious entrees/appetizers (I’ve tried like every one) and a menu with great, mouthwatering copy that gives you historical context or fun facts about each dish, Cheevitdee remains humble somehow and I love them for that and the food!

(Pre-Covid Review)Coming from NYC where Thai food is plentiful, I was surprised by a five star Thai place in Old Port. I was excited to get good Thai food, and boy was I disappointed.First, the positives. The waitress was attentive, the decor and location is nice, and the Thai ice tea was very good. And then the bad, the food...We got the massaman and panang curry. The panang curry came in a plate with the rice, with barely any of the curry and mostly being just dry chicken. The rice was decent and so was the steamed veggies, but the main part of the dish, was disappointing, dry, and barely had any curry. The massaman curry came with the rice and veggies on the side, and the curry in a cute black bowl. Once again, no complaints about the rice and veggies. The curry on the other hand, was confusing. The taste was just off, and the chicken dry as well. Was a very disappointing meal and would not recommend their curries. Maybe their noodles or rice plates are better.

Flavor fantastic on my panang chicken curry, and app order placement for takeout (they are presently only doing delivery or pickup) was timely, communicated well and done faster than expected but MAN the portions were much smaller than I remember when we ate in person.

Fresh, amazing Thai food. The take out process was so easy. I would highly recommend.

Love this spot. Try the omelet! The buns are awesome. Always a chill, low key place to pick up or visit.

I ordered some takeout from Cheevitdee and it was amazing! Highly recommend the spring rolls, chive dumplings and pork buns. The shrimp pad thai was some of the best I've ever had. Delicious!

I was searching for something else but Cheevitdee came up and the name said something to me so I took a closer look. I've never heard of this place but found out it had been here for a bit of time. The first thing I noticed was the brunch options. I had to take a second look cause it looked too legit asian. Then i looked at their regular menu for dinner and thought, this looks like Thai street food....definitely out of the norm from the 'typical' thai menus. So we came. SO ordered a garlic shrimp and I ordered the pad kra pao...its funny because just recently I was thinking of this exact dish and had a warm fuzzy feeling of having not had it for a long time. Their pork shumai was excellent. The garlic shrimp was super flavorful and the basil chicken was fantastic. I wish it had more basil but it was just right otherwise. Definitely more elevated than what I typically ate in Thailand but it made so many memories flood back. And the fried egg...I know few people will understand, but this is the best add on to almost anything and every rice dish you would eat in the region. I almost shed a tear for the simplest thing. I wish they made Khao soy...another place here does it but they do it with beef which I dont like as much as the chicken. The accessible street food for decent prices in Portland is so heart warming :)

Popped into this Thai place and they were kind enough to seat us at 2:15 even though they closed at 2:30 for lunch. Really appreciate that! The menu is quite varied in options. My party ordered pad Thai, drunken noodles, fried rice, kra pow and the congee. Everything tasted great! Surprising to find a good Thai restaurant in the middle of downtown Portland. Our server was a little bit odd...perhaps he was nervous(???) he seemed a bit hesitant and unfamiliar with the menu which made our ordering experience a little awkward. He was odd but nonetheless nice

Delicious breakfast with great service! We had a delightful experience this morning. Such a nice change of pace for breakfast/brunch. We had no wait and they had highchairs for one of our kids. They were very accommodating and brought plastic cups for the kids. The food was delicious. We got #1 & #4. The custard for the Thai donuts was so yummy & the shumai was tasty! Great coffee too.
