The food here is incredible. Highly recommend the chicken yakisoba. The smell and flavor are a unique experience. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food.

Tiny portions. Questionable service. I used to love this place but my most recent experience was less than stellar. I got the feeling that the waitress was very disappointed with our small order and then she forgot to put an item in. Then it took forever to get the final serving. Everyone else had already finished. I felt very unwelcome. I will not go back unless someone else in the group insists. Plenty of restaurants in Portland. You will not last long if this continues.

My partner ordered meat skewers and seemed to enjoy his assortment of organ meats. Not feeling ready to indulge in the hearts and livers and other random animal parts, I stuck with just ordering sushi this time. Maybe next time, haha.Our server was friendly and the food arrived quickly. The eel was cooked to perfection and the avocado was at the exact right ripeness. Looking forward to our next visit!Oh! Also, the prices were quite affordable and there were evening specials available.

Delicious! When I moved here the neighborhood had too many rats! Thanks to Kushiya Benkay, the rats are gone and the food is hot and furry!

Racism and Casteism are at full display in this restaurant. There is absolutely no doubt about it. We sat down first and the waiter never bothered to ask what want for drinks. More than 10 minutes after us, a couple sat down next to us. The waiter took down the drink and appetizer order from them. The same couple also got served their drinks and appetizers. All the while, it took a total of 25 minutes and we were never asked what we want for drinks. The discrimination was very very apparent. We stood up and walked out of the restaurant. Our table was fully empty at that time. We went to the Mainely Noods restaurant right across the street.

Super, super unpleasant waitress. I went in to look at the menu and nobody was standing at the host stand. I stood there for several minutes and no one came. I noticed there were menus by the sushi bar so I went back there to look at one, looking for a sashimi bowl. I went to the bathroom while I waited for an available staff member then came back out. I got ahold of an employee to ask if they had sushi bowls. She told me to look at the menu and thrust one at me. While looking I walked to the front where the "please wait to be seated sign was" while the waitress screamed, "MAM, MAM, look back here" and directed me to the back of the restaurant. I did so, then decided to leave as they didn't have the menu items we wanted and as I tried to leave the same waitress yelled, "MAM, RESTROOMS ARE ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS!" Honestly even if they didn't have what we wanted but they were nicer I would've stayed. The service was dreadful and the only reason I'm not giving it one star is because I never ate the food and it doesn't seem fair. If you look at other reviews you will see that plenty of people have had miserable experiences with what seems to be the same woman. Keep a manager or someone else around if you are going to employ someone this terrible who is customer facing.

We are in Portland for just one day and decided to grab some sushi for dinner. (don't worry, we had lobster rolls for lunch!) The server was very attentive. The sushi was all really good and pretty standard prices - $7-14. We also got a bottle of hot sake, which did seem to be a good deal. The medium was $10 and more than the 2 of us could even finish! I would come back on our next visit. Especially because the neighborhood around the restaurant was really fun.

I'm never coming back here again. Our server was STARING at us the whole time .. I even had to tell her that we were ready to order. Than she came and was being sooo rude to my friend who was asking her about the different ice cream flavors, she than yelled "YES" so rudely when she had asked a question. My friend than said she didn't want to get fried ice cream and she screamed "You have to order or you can't be here" and we told her well she's eating with us and she just doesn't want the ice cream anymore. She continued to be rude and she's still starting at me typing this message up!
