We held our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at MCD and it was awesome. The food was fantastic, the drinks are great and different than a typical brewery space, and the ambiance was very cool. When it's decorated a little, the private event space in the distillery looks great.

I liked the music, the band, the food, the atmosphere and the service. Our waiter, Ross, was professional, courteous and nice. I already invited two of my friends for the next music gigs there.Vegetarian options: We got fried Brussels sprouts and veggie-burger. It was delicious.

90 minutes for an order of tacos... no awareness of my order at all, until I went to the counter. Then they asked if I wanted a refund! Very Poor customer service! I like coming to see music here but this was not a good experience.

Hours show noon open, however that's not true. When going there door was unlocked, so I went in per hours online. At that time was rudely intercepted by someone sitting on a couch saying, um yea we should update that, we are not open. We'll thanks as I made an effort to check out your space with the limited time I had in Portland, sorry to bother you as you sat on your computer on a couch. Part of the experience is not just what they have to offer but how you are treated and execution of expectations. That is where they failed and why the one start.

I was looking for some live music on our vacation and glad we found this place! Fiancé was happy there was beer there too.

Came here for ideas to expand our own distillery operation in NY's Finger Lakes region with canned cocktails. Did not disappoint. Too many great options to nail down ideas though... Just turned into "drinking".

The venue is beautiful. Such a great place to sit outside when the weather is good. Great lighting inside and out. It seems like they were a bit off tonight though. The drinks were meh. The bartender was confused on how to make one of the signature drinks...at a distillery bar. My cheese steak was almost devoid of cheese. We were told the fries were amazing...they were just fine but did not merit hyperbole. The blackened fish in the tacos only tasted like salt. Staff offered to bring my dog water but forgot. The place was nearly empty so I'm not sure what the problem was.

This is a great little spot with great cocktails from their distillery. The outside patio area is fun and eclectic. Live music most nights too!

Why the hell would you market something this sweet as a hard seltzer? Purchased at hannafords in the seltzer section... no calorie info on the outside so i guess my bad. Its basically soda. Stupid blueberry touristy bullcrap its my fault sure but fml seriously?

Love this spot. Been here quite a few times now. On NYE I had a fantastic whiskey cider drink, and recently had a couple delicious hot toddies. The food has always been excellent too. My most recent bartender, Ross, was friendly, a great "mixologist," and he was super helpful with providing advice for my friend's Montana trip. I also just love the aesthetics and vibes here.

I feel so awful posting this review- but it’s with the hope that the owners and bartenders and servers see it and actually do something different. So, for years I have come to Maine Craft Distillery sporadically and the cocktails made me want to sip them slowly in order to relish the flavors and savor the experience. Tonight my husband and I were served by a bartender who was unfriendly and appeared irritated (to put it nicely)- but I couldn’t care less about that- people go through stuff, slack-I give. But the drinks, the drinks were absolutely terrible and undrinkable. We got the mystic lady (I’ve had this many times and loved it) and an old fashioned (one of the hub’s faves).I wanted to return the drinks, but didn’t.I feel awful posting this! But seriously- try the drinks you make - if it tastes like a headache mixed with a super strong sour mix - thats not enjoyable. We left our full cups in the booth and called it a night.Shoot, this place used to be great. What happened?

Good drinks, thanks to their own crafted spirits. Vibe was hopping, with folks watching the live music outside and a bachelorette party inside. But we sat at the bar and had a nice time, thanks to our super friendly bartender, who was busy experimenting. He was testing out something he heard, that Coors Banquet mixed with Disaronno tastes like Dr. Pepper. We got to be his taste-testers, and that's exactly what it tastes like. The drinks that are actually on the menu were good, too. I can recommend the Mai Tai with the house rum.
