I’m obsessed with this place. They have really high quality authentic Asian sauces and spices, and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. They also carry cook books and merch. In addition to grocery items, they sell homemade baked goods and drinks. I’m obsessed with their hojicha latte. I love matcha latte but I’ve never had any other kind of green tea latte. I tried their hojicha green tea latte and I’m hooked. It’s a bit nutty and has less caffeine than a matcha latte, which is perfect for a midday pick-me-up. The staff are really nice and I’ve had a pleasant experience every time I’ve gone in. It’s really great to have more diversity of Asian focused groceries and bakery in Portland!P.s. they even have a congee bar!

Onggi is my obsession! Cute space? Yummy snacks? The best tea? I've been here about 5+ times now, and every time is a complete delight. Service is always expeditious and cheerful. Snacks & drinks are consistently stellar. Kimbap (10/10). So fresh and tasty. My favorite Kimbap I've had outside of Korea. The daikon radish is a standout. Matcha Latte (10/10) Get it with oat milk, the nuttiness is a perfect balance to the matcha. So light and refreshing, not too sweet. I've had the chai, matcha, and hojicha, and still prefer the matcha best. Arnold Palmer (9/10) Tangy and sweet, slightly fermented. I loved it, I just think the other teas are better to my taste.Butter mochi (10/10) So soft and bouncy! Really flavorful and just the right amount for me. It's hard to not buy every single object in this store! 10/10 so cute, and very well curated.

It carries a ton of kitchen condiments, mostly Asian, and offers cafe drinks, a limited selection of prepared foods, and baked goods.The food and drink are very good. We had chicken gimbap and a hojicha latte. The store is tastefully put together. You feel calm browsing and sitting inside.We looked at everything, spoke with the two folks working there, and then enjoyed our food in the bay window. Really liked this spot and would encourage folks to give it a try.

Great place to go to get specialty vinegars, jams, spreads, and sauces. They also have a nice selection of Japanese tea as well as sandwiches and baked goods. They have spreads that you don't see anywhere else like a matcha milk spread and yuzu marmalade. Everything is nicely curated with recommendations. They also have some fermented vegetables and limited seating inside and out. You won't find a selection like this in other places. I had a hojica tea latte which was very good too. It is truly a unique store.
Really special addition to Washington Ave. Always find something new. A kombucha and kimchi geek’s heaven! Great takeaway coffee and pastry items also and cute window seats to enjoy a bite there.
