Who knew? If you wanted the best Neapolitan style pizza, you head to Portland Maine. Visited for work and stopped by for a pizza and oh my, this pizza is so good. I almost bought one to go to take on the plane with me.

Super friendly, attentive staff :-) Absolutely out of this world pizza - great, fresh crust and delicious toppings. Parsimonious with the wine pour and without trying to hurt feelings, choose pizza over pasta... and you can't go wrong! Cute place, well spaced for indoor dining, and they deserve our business. We'll go back often and hope to get a slightly more full glass :-)

Great service and meal!Like being back in Italy!Excellent

Amazing experience! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Very friendly staff and the owner was very personable, friendly, welcoming and funny! We ordered the Gnocchi al Pesto and Margherita pizza. The pizza was so delicious we ended up ordering another pizza, even after we were stuffed. We couldn't stop and ordered the Salsiccia pizza. Didn't think it could get any better than the Margherita. We will be back again when we visit Portland!! Also the restaurant was very clean and took social distancing seriously between tables.

This is the best italian restaurant in the USA by far!! You really feel to be in a real Italian restaurant, the food (anything on the menu) is FANTASTIC: perfectly cooked and served like in Italy. The staff and the service is great and Mauro, the owner, is the best in the business! I'd drive from very far away to come back here!

Had a wonderful dinner Saturday night! Loved the pizza; so authentic. Staff was extremely courteous and we felt very comfortable as tables were spaced far apart. The pannacotta was amazing! Only complaint would be that the fried donut fingers were swimming in Nutella. Would have preferred much less or even to dip on the side. Would definitely return again!

The whole evening was great from start to finish. The salad (La Scala) was fresh and the daily-made dressing was light and delicious. The pizza (Bianca Neve) was delicious! The fresh ricotta, Italian sausage and crust were too-shelf. The web was balanced and perfect for our meal. The Limoncello afterward was the perfect finish. The owner is from Milano and is very welcoming. Pizzerino is on my list for Portland forevermore.

Portland has a lot of stellar pizza places, but this one is the absolute best. We live nearby, and the owner, Mauro, is incredibly friendly- so much so that my kids call him "the kind pizza man." The pizza is to die for- they import the flour from Italy, and every bite is delectable. Their salads are fresh and interesting, and they have fabulous wine. I've not had their pasta, but am planning to on my next visit. Truly, I cannot recommend Pizzarino enough.

We had an exceptional meal.....from the Aperol spritz to the super Tuscan red, to the Caprese skewers and on to the pizza itself.....nothing disappointed. One of new "go tos" in Portland.

Even though I am sure I butchered the pronunciation of the food I ordered the gentleman on the phone was patient and polite. He even joked around with me about it. Order was ready in fifteen minutes and was delicious. We ordered the margarita pizza and the gnocchi. Both of which were delicious. I would even say that it was easily the best pizza I've ever had. Unfortunately we were so hungry I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the food before we ate it. The restaurant itself is in a good location, and is nicely decorated and maintained. Also worth noting is that they gave us our food with a pamphlet both thanking us for ordering from them and listing off their ingredients and where they come from. I have never had another restaurant do that and it was a nice surprise.

I'm so glad I tried this restaurant tonight. We were in the area and all I wanted was some comforting and fresh Italian food. After searching for parking we headed to the restaurant. We walked in and was greater by what I found out later was the owner and head chef. We said we were okay with eating inside. The menu overwhelmed my fiancé so I took the lead. (It's a hidden trait of mine when eating out). When we were greeted about 10 min later (it was busy and the waiter was basically running around) we ordered peroni, the burrata with proscuttio, the gnocchi with pesto and the arancini Pomodoro. I asked the owner (who waited on us) to try a bit of the house salad dressing bc it sounded amazing. I asked for it with the burrata. I thought the balance of sweet and creamy burrata with the dressing would of been perfect. He let me know that the dressing was overpowering and he didn't think it would be good. I said okay and accepted it. He did offer me a taste though. How sweet! Also it was downright amazing. I would drink it from a glass. (As a side note. I can't eat salad. Lettuce and I are not friends. I wish we were but sadly it just doesn't work) The burrata came out first. OMG! Just give me a Permanent seat here! I reached for a price of the focaccia bread first. I know I'm one to over exaggerate at times but oh my goodness, it was amazing. The balance of bread, Salt, oil and Rosemary was perfect. I would come and just eat the bread! Now moving on... the burrata was form but creamy, delicious and flavorful and the best one I've had in Portland. I was amazed. I can eat the proscuttio but my fiancé said it was salty and great. The arancini was one out of slow Instagram photos or tik toks. When you cut into the grapefruit sized ball it crackled and then you just saw strings of cheese. I moved it through the pomodoro sauce and put it to my mouth. It was perfect! The sauce was outstanding! The rice ball was crunchy and soft at the same time with perfect seasoning and cheesy goodness. The gnocchi was very good as well. It was Keith and fluffy and the pesto was the same. I don't enjoy a pesto that I burp up for the day after. This was the opposite. It was light and beautiful and flavorful. As a side note o saw a couple who wanted to be seated outside be seated inside. They were sad but okay with it (I'm a listener). As soon as a table opened outside they were ushered there and the table was cleaned. How accommodating!! In the end I loved my time here. I loved the food. My only complaint is o would of liked another drink but it's COVID times and I know that no one wants to truly get to close. I can't wait to venture again.

Very extensive pizza menu and very authentically Italian! You can feel it in this restaurant. The service here is great and the food is great. Both pizzas - margherita and diavola - were delicious. I’d go with the diavola (which is basically pepperoni) if I had to pick one. The Milan Salad was also delicious. Simple yet savory.Oh and the inside dining is set up in a very spacious space and there is a lot of distance between all the tables.

I am always very impressed when the owner of an establishment serves tables with great enthusiasm and exceptional service, and that is what the owner of pizzarino does. The wait staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. To me, it is the best classic Italian cuisine in Portland, even though it may not be the most renowned. Always worth a trip, and the limoncello is to die for.
