This was honestly my first poke bowl, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but it was delicious! I was so excited when I heard this place had finally opened up. The restaurant is clean and bright, and you really do get excited seeing the long list of ingredients you can add to your poke bowl, Chipotle-style. My sister-in-laws and I shared a custom bowl with cooked salmon, spicy umami sauce, and a number of toppings (do get the seaweed salad and Japanese rice puff!). The final result was really tasty, light, and refreshing. I do wish they would give more fish for the price. This was back in the summer, so we took our bowls to go and enjoyed it at home but there's a park nearby and seats inside the restaurant. For three, this was a light snack. Next time I want one to myself!

There are so many options at Poke Pop! Poke Pop has a variety of different flavors and foods that keep this place great! In addition to Poke, they also serve various appetizers and milk teas! We made our own bowls, even though they do have set bowls curated for those who either don't want the burden of being a mixologist, or to those new to poke! I tried the Spicy Yuzu flavoring, along with my 2 types of protein: salmon and hamachi (yellowtail). Top it off and mix it in with the seasonings of your choice and you have a healthy meal!

Just tried this place today. Very yummy and will definitely be back! I got the spicy tuna special, and it had just the right amount of spice to balance out the flavors. All very fresh ingredients and lots of options. It is really clean and nice, unique inside also. I was surprised there was no one else there, but I was early. Can't wait to try again!

I have been into this restaurant twice but only ate there once. The first time I turned around and left almost immediately because the lighting made me feel awful. The second time I decided to try to stick it out and give the food a chance. The food was good, though a little on the bland side- a little more acid in the sauce would have helped a lot. The rice was pretty good, the vegetables were crispy, the fish was very nice and fresh. Other reviewers complained that there wasn't enough fish in their servings, but I got plenty and it was very good, especially for the price. The wasabi was *insanely* hot- it might have been the hottest I've ever had. The service was extremely good. The young woman who waited on me was so cheerful, helpful and friendly and did a wonderful job plating my bowl. HOWEVER- the lighting is not only obnoxious but actually made me feel sick. It made me feel like I might throw up and gave me a headache. I had to look down at my plate the entire time because each time I looked up, I felt worse. It was nightmarish. Sensitivity to fluorescent lights is very common and you are probably losing more customers than you realize due to the terrible lighting. I will never be back in (unless the lighting is changed) and that is a shame because you are in my neighborhood and I did like your food and service. Two stars for the great employee and decent food. If I could give negative stars for the lighting, I would.

Poke Pop is AMAZING. I love their selection of fresh food options. All of their veggies look fresh and delicious, as well as their seafood options. There is always a happy mood when I'm in there and the staff is incredible/willing to help with anything and everything. It's great to have good food that is good to your body. Thank you, Poke Pop! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. :)

Amazing food, staff could not be nicer! Every time I come in they treat me like family. They have so many great house made sauces and an amazing supply of fresh seafood. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys poke!

With all the food choices in Portland Maine, Poke Pop falls short on the "wow" factor. I was living in Portland for a few weeks for work and was craving sushi and poke. One night, I decided to stop by for dinner and to check this place out! They have different poke bowl combinations on the menu as well as build your own option. I have read reviews on yelp that some of the combinations are weird and I would have to agree. Individually each topping are good but for some reason, it did not really go well together. I had the spicy tuna oishi and tried the tom yum poke. The portion is not too generous for the price. It was weird to have tortilla chips and rice with my poke bowl. However, the fish was nicely seasoned and marinated. The tom yum poke was decent but the tomatoes also was a weird mix for the poke. There is a lot of potential here, next time I will opt to build my own bowl instead.

One word: yaaaaaaaas! Poke Pop's poke bowls are the greatest. I recommend this pokestop. They put an excellent twist on the classic poke bowl, with fresh ingredients and fun signature bowls. Not a poke fan? They also have kombucha, soup, and local sodas! Staff is also super friendly, and it is a great place for all ages!

This is one of the best POKE places I have been. I have shellfish allergies and I let them know that. They take care of me every time and never fuss. They even go out of their way at times to make certain that nothing has any shellfish in it. The prices are on point, the portion sizes are great, the food tastes amazing, and there isn't much more I can say. Definitely give this place a shot if you are in town, if you like sushi, you'll LOVE this. Oh, and you can order online and pick it up.
