We've been going to Silly for many years, and were quite devastated when they closed. When they reopened we were beyond thrilled, and have been looking forward to going back for months. The cake is not at all what it once was, maybe a different baker, still okay just not great as it once was. Food was quite good but certainly not up to par with Portland nor previous Silly's, I'd imagine a different chef. That being said, the food is still good and they have good vegan options which for us is a plus to begin with. I would recommend going but don't expect the same experience that Silly's once was.

Went last night for the first time and the pulled pork Mac and cheese was THE BEST Mac and cheese me and my son have EVER had out!!! Amazing!!! The vegan cakes (Oreo & PB chocolate) were out of this world!!! Besides the terrible parking (who would have known I would have gotten a parking ticket in the 10 minutes of picking up ??♀️) silly’s is definitely on my repeat of places now!!! The 2 people working were also fantastic to talk to and make you feel so welcome!!! So 5 stars all around!!!

Navigating the very interesting menu is a bit of work but the vegan options are pretty tasty. Don't make my mistake, leave with some cake!!

The staffs was friendly, the vegan cake was perfect but i was not a big fan of the rice and beans or a couple of the vegan dishes but generally a positive experience ( except for a little bit of an attitude from another patron for leaving the door open by accident).
I'm SO happy that Silly's is back in some form. It's a smaller space and not the full menu but a lot of old favorites (including some staff and the cakes) are back. A delightful small business to support!

When we saw Silly's was open, again, the wifey headed over and picked up 3 cakes (sold in cute, little single-loaf pans); chocolate-chocolate, carrot, and lemon. They tossed in the vegan chocolate cake as a "thank you" and "please try this". Believe me when I tell you I was not looking forward to the vegan cake. I've had too many experiences with vegan food trying to be something it's not, cake being a prime example. Were we surprised! When we rated the cakes in favorite-to-least-favorite, lemon was last and chocolate only just barely beat out the vegan cake, for me. For the missus, she said she might have to put the vegan cake above the chocolate, even! It was moist and cakey, and the frosting was sweet and creamy; just as good as the frosting on the carrot cake. Everyone must try the vegan chocolate cake.

Good food, but more importantly the owner proudly supports President Trump!!! I support all truly American businesses.
