Great urban winery with a variety of wines and spirits. Tasting room staff is friendly and helped tourists out with local recommendations. Nice spot in the middle is a busy part of Portland. Parking was easier than expected.

Not people friendly.

We come here every visit to portland. Couldn’t ask for better service and to top it off, the flavors off the smashes and sangrias are perfect for the holiday season!

Planned this stop for our family visit to Portland. The tasting room is cute, very small, and the price is unbeatable ($5 for 4 tastings). The wines I tried were pretty good, though all the offerings are very niche (wines all infused with various fruits; no classics such as Chardonnay or a plain Cabernet Sauvignon, etc). Was pretty disappointed with the interaction, or rather lack thereof, with the staff. She just stood there silently between tastings, not offering any information about the wines except a basic description while physically pouring them. I even asked a couple questions to stimulate the conversation but was met with minimal response. It made the tasting awkward, especially considering we were the only ones there at the time. So much so that we did the tasting, grabbed a bottle of our favorite, and left, within about 15 minutes.Maybe just an off day for her? Definitely not what I would expect from a wine tasting, especially such a highly rated one.

My husband and I loved this winery! The drinks were delicious, views were beautiful, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s even a short trail you can walk that is well maintained. Highly recommend!

Priced very well! The maple smash is one that will captivate you quickly - so try others first!!! The blueberry cab sauv is amazing!!! Enjoyed visiting here while in Portland. Wish they had food - we would have stayed all day!

The cider was a bit dry but the blueberry and cranberry smash was so good if your like something on the sweet side.

Stopped in for a tasting. $5 for 4 pours of your choice from a nice selection of wine and liquor. Tried the blueberry wine, apple wine, rhubarb smash, and cranberry gin. They all were fantastic. Wish they could ship to more places as I wanted to buy some bottles but can’t take them on my carry-on for the plane home.

We stopped by because we saw a sign that said "gin" and were intrigued. We had a wonderful time tasting some of their wines and spirits and talking with Susan, who was so wonderful. We will definitely stop back to try some new products, and definitely recommend everyone to check them out!

Well worth a stop in. The person working was friendly and really knew her stuff. The gins we tasted were lovely, and I'm not even really a fan of gin.

I love to drink gin and this is a convenient little shop in old port to get a high quality product without costing you an arm and a leg. They offer tastings so you can pick out just the right flavor for your profile. Every time we come to Portland this is one of the first places we go so I can get a bottle to enjoy each evening as a night cap while on vacation.

This cute quaint tasting room explores a great selection of gins, wines and a whiskey. The bartender was excellent and knowledgeable and the spirits were great! We just wondered in to the tasting room one day and all left with a bottle we bought. The cranberry Gin is great in cocktails! I highly recommend trying this place!

We stumbled upon this small tasting room in Portland’s old port district. The tasting fee was inexpensive (about $5 if I recall) and the pours were generous. The lady doing the pouring was knowledgeable and very friendly. The wines we tried were delicious and quite reasonable—my favorite was the Blueberry Sangria. However, the standout for me was the Back River Gin. a small-batch gin. Tasted neat, it has an amazing silky mouth feel and the 43% alcohol content is hidden by a clean, smooth rush of juniper and volatiles. My wife isn’t a spirits drinker but she enjoyed it and remarked on how smooth and tasty it was. With a little splash of tonic water, I was hooked. We bought a bottle of Blueberry Sangria which we drank along the rest of our travels, but the gin came home. I keep wondering if I’m going to share it with my gin-drinking buddies, but I have to try a few more times to make up my mind…
