Amazing selection and some things I’ve never seen which made the experience even better. Customer service was excellent and every question about the product was answered in a fantastically accessible way. Will definitely return

Lots of cheeses, folks are very knowledgeable on cheese, I can't eat cheese but my dad loves fancy cheeses and they're always super helpful when figuring out what I should surprise him with next

We came here in search of some picnic style items for our day trip to Acadia. Unfortunately, they were out of the Parisian style sandwiches by the time we arrived (make sure to get there before 4!)The staff was very helpful in helping us select a few cheeses and meats to go with a sourdough bread to have our own make shift Parisian style lunch. The jambon de Paris and garlic pepper salami worked great with the cheeses they helped us select.

My wife and I are traveling through Portland and stopped by this very cute store. Chelsea took us through a brief education and sold us the best cheese I’ve ever had.

If you love cheese--and just for the record if you don't, I do not comprehend--then you're going to be in heaven at the Cheese Shop of Portland! They have all the cheeses you're already familiar with in tastier versions than you'll find at supermarkets; I've learned that I'm much, much happier picking up my parm or manchego or whatever here, and I'll never buy ricotta salata anywhere else now. And then there are all the amazing cheeses you've maybe never heard of but will quickly become addicted to. My latest acquisition is this Dutch cheese called Coolea, which is like aged gouda and cheddar, and they recommended it to go with this salami called 'Nduja which is a spreadable (!) sausage packed with Calabrian chili (how has this never been in my life before?!). They really know their stuff and make great recommendations, and you can sample before you buy. You can get great sandwiches there too (rotating menu) and there's a small but dangerous grocery section (dangerous b/c you're gonna buy a LOT of stuff) with some wine, the most insane selection of condiments and oils and pickled things and tinned fish and crackers and locally made ice cream--and, well, you get the idea. Just get in here and treat yourself!

Great cheese shop with a wide range of selection. They have sandwiches and some drinks as well. They also have a nice charcuterie selection as well as anything else you would need for your cheese board. The staff for very knowledgeable and friendly.

What a gem for foodies! Catered selection of everything that is delicious, amazing sandwiches, nice staff, great cheeses. We came here looking for one specific product (through a referral online) and came out with a huge bag of deliciousness. They have great wines, conservas, Ranchi gordo beans, mustards, and much, much more for a fancy piknik.

I go there every time I go to Portland, hand them $200 and say, "take me on a ride."Each time I've walked away w new bottles that I am obsessed with, but never would have found, and the perfect accompaniments. If I could give them six stars I would. Literally my favorite wine shop in America.

First trip. Cheese varieties are incredible. Purchased 2 cheddars that were devoured by the next day. My wife picked up some mustard and some snacks. We love it.
