The atmosphere is cozy and warm however overly strong scent of old cooking oil once they began cooking. Our service w/ Allyssa was AMAZING!!!! Food and drinks were a total disappointment unfortunately especially for the cost. I do not mind paying a bit more for food, but I expect the best / top quality when I do, and this was a miss. The pork schnitzel was oversized, thick (not pounded), not trimmed / lots of fat, over fried w/ zero flavor - mustard sauce was buried under the cabbage somewhere but also flavorless. The French onion soup was like mush, hard to tell if it was onions with hard cheese crouton making it difficult / challenging to eat (needed a knife for my soup). The short ribs were amazingly good. The Carbonara caused early evening GI to upset for one in our party of 4. Scallops were flavorful but over cooked, but the mushroom risotto and Brussel sprouts very good. Although we all enjoy a nice stiff drink, way too much alcohol so you couldn't taste the mixer. We will not recommend and none of us will ever return.

Wonderful experience. Quality of the food was great, our waiter provided quick, friendly service, and we will be back! Highly recommend the beef short rib, and the espresso martinis for dessert were the perfect way to wrap up the evening!

Elise is a fantastic server! Our meal was so good. We all enjoyed it and I very much appreciate that you honored my reservation request. You can never go wrong with TFR French onion soup and I recommend the kale Caesar with seared tuna. It's not too heavy, but fully satisfying. Leave room for dessert, the creme brulee is another constant delight.

Feel the Front Room is down from previous years. Recently tried lunch and dinner menu. French onion soup was “off” from visits a year before. Dinner mussels and tomato soup were good but Caesar salad was hard to navigate in a too small bowl and a too large Parmesan cracker placed on top. A Front Room corn bread classic didn't need the addition of chili butter.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is pretty, the waitstaff makes sure that you have everything you need, and the food was amazing! I would recommend the Chicken Parmesan and the Bolognese!

Super care given to cocktails, entree and dessert. Any questions? Highly recommended restaurant in a residential neighborhood . Some towns don't like restaurants in residential areas. They are wrong. This place is great.

We usually enjoy The Front Room, but were disappointed that several menu choices were not available, so we ended up with second choice dishes. Still, it's a good spot with good service!

Sat at the bar, and our server was very friendly. All the food was perfectly seasoned, and I have never had an omlette, so fluffy!!

Went at noon and wait for a while for seating. After seating we soon ordered our food, steak benedict (medium for steak). We waited 50+minutes for one steak benedict. There was a white couple seates twenty minutes after us, but they got both of their sandwiches ten minutes before our one dish. And we got a BURNT-nedict, the steak, the english muffin at the bottom... the whole dish was burnt and overcooked, steak and the English muffins burned like browned crackers. Then when the waiter came ask us how was everything, my partner answered said the steak was overcooked. She was saying excuse me. We repeated again the beef overcooked. The waier was saying yeah I heard with attitude and no sorry at all. She later came back asked you wanna eat or not? So RUDE. My partner didn’t want to wait another 50 minutes for such disgusting dishes. They were still charged for the Burnt-nedict. What’s a shame for this local restaurant being racist and rude. They should put this Burnt-nedict on their menus as their signature dish.

We were visiting Portland this weekend (party of 9) and on a sleepy Sunday night with a lot of places closed we randomly selected this restaurant because they had an opening available but we could not believe how we lucked out. The food was amazing! The service was great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our large group for small restaurant such as this. This is a great neighborhood gem!

The food was a 10 out of 10. Our waiter was so nice and the atmosphere was good. Wish there was a little more spacing between tables to have a more intimate and private conversation with my spouse. Otherwise all was great!

We started off well with efficient service of drinks and some bread and fries for the table. However, we had to wait a very long time for the main course. Food was fine, but very slow getting to us.
