We were staying at the lovely regency hotel for an anniversary. This lovely brunch spot did not disappoint! Overlooking the street but with a quiet and elegant interior, it afforded the ability to people watch a little bit carry on a quiet conversation. I had the salmon plate, with smoked lox, bagel, capers and assortment of pickled items capers, pickles, and onions and a crisp sliced tomato. My husband had eggs over easy with corned beef hash, which he raved about. We had pots of earl grey tea, which remained nice and hot for the duration of our meal. Our server was excellent, offering recommendations and keeping our water glasses full (needed after the late night enjoying restaurant week in Portland) 5 stars. Will absolutely eat here when we stay here again!

We've had two lovely brunches at 1895 and would definitely go back again. Next time we'll try them for dinner. The room itself is elegant, more so than a typical brunch place but the prices aren't any higher. We didn't do it, but their website indicates they have valet parking and we did see some people using it when we were leaving. When you look at the menu you'll see a number of brunch-type items on the regular menu but they also had additional ones on a special brunch menu. We both had benedicts and liked them.

After trying to get a seat for breakfast at a few Portland and not having much luck I found this establishment was on Open Table and made a reservation- we arrived earlier than our reservation time and they seated us with any issue. The place was plush and comfortable and breakfast was superb!

This is Portlands best kept secret..very cozy and perfect on a sunny day. ALL the staff are fantastic. Food is good as well. I thoroughly enjoy The Armory and Ironside whiskey bar which are also at the Regency hotel. Whether I'm staying at the Regency or just enjoying their amenities....Regency hotel has never disappointed.

We stopped here for drinks while waiting on a dinner reservation. It was just the two Of us and we sat at the bar. Once we sat down, we should have known the experience that was about to be had. I am not one to leave negative reviews as you have seen from so many of my others on Yelp. The bartender didn't smile, didn't acknowledge us with a simple greeting of hello. A drink menu was "literally tossed" on the bar in front of us. We both decided on the Daly fix which is the John Daly version of an Arnold Palmer. It was so alcohol heavy, it was truly not drinkable. I had all I could do to attempt to finish it. The bartender did not check in on us, we had to request to close out our tab and we didn't even get a thank you. Now I understand places are short staffed, it is tourist season, it was a gorgeous night in the Old Port but there is no excuse for ignoring your guests.

Drinks and dessert were great, vibe was enjoyable. Only thing I would suggest is using real or compostable cups and silverware instead of plastic disposable ones.

Stopped in for a quick cocktail and snack. We got the house made potato chips with Nori and a smoked salmon yogurt dip. Very unique and creative! Professional waitstaff with a lovely garden view.

Lovely place to eat. Josh gave us excellent service. My haddock tacos were tasty, although a bit wet so the tortillas broke fast and it was a mess to eat. The sweet potatoes were delish. His prosciuto, goat cheese sandwich very tasty also, steak fries yummy. Both meals served in basquets. Short list of beer, wine in a plastic cup. I would give it a 4.5 stars if I could. And the prices are very reasonable for the area. I would definitely recommend it.
