We shared two flights which allowed us to try almost all the beers on tap. We may have missed four. We enjoy visiting breweries and trying new beer. The beers here were above the grade. We rated all but one a 9 or 10. They were seriously the best beers we’ve tried in a while. The atmosphere is cool, but not conducive to chatting with new folks (inside). It’s kind of spread out. But still rustic and welcoming. We didn’t check out the outdoor space, it was a little too chilly. But we’ll be back!

Been coming a few times a year for about, what, 5 years now. This is always the first and most boozy stop for us in Maine. If you like bourbon, high ABV beers, actual flavor, and some dank vibes, this place is for you. The flights help to taper the high ABV so I can try things without loosing it too quickly. Best beer in Maine, and I’ve been to 16 breweries in Vacationland.

Barreled Souls did not disappoint their beers were awesome. Our first visit was in 2017 and definitely wish they were closer to TN.

Barreled Souls is tucked away in the basement of a law office. Minimal signage outside, but a full parking lot gives away what's hidden within. A dark and intimate interior gives speakeasy vibes. Tons of barrel aged offerings (duh) and sours. Be forewarned, a lot of these beers come in over 10%, so indulge responsibly! The barely wine was heavenly, I can't wait to come back for more.

This review is based on fond memories. I missed visiting on my last trip to "Vacationland". Although, was curious about all those sours. My memory is solid with stouts and dark ales. They grab my attention all the time since too many focus on IPA's. Regardless, a dear friend of mine though enough of these folks to have his mug in the ready for his next visit. The expectation is anything offered is worth the visit. Enjoy!

We love these guys! Excellent brewery with great people. The Barley wine (15%) and the smoked stout were outstanding. So good. A cool place.

One of the best breweries in the entire state. Especially if you are a fan of higher ABV and barrel aged beers. They always have bottles or draft pours of barrel aged beers or high ABV stouts, Barleywines and others. Don’t think that is all though, they put out their fair share of IPAs and sours and other styles. Even some cocktail inspired barrel aged sours. If you are from the area and haven’t been here what are you waiting for? If you are in the area visiting then also what are you waiting for? They also have a great food truck that is often there with burgers and what ever creative items planned for that week. They also frequently have guest taps of fellow breweries and some non-beer options now as well. Try and seek out their S’mores inspired stout Stay Puft or their classic Barleywine Big Bang if possible. Friendly and helpful staff that will try their hardest to find the right beer for you! Great vibes in the taproom as well with some furniture made from barrels. A brewery worth visiting over and over.

I'm not a huge fan of their beer, but the location is awesome and they get rave reviews. Just more of a NE IPA guy :)

Always a wide variety of brews to taste. I liked the Penny on Nitro today. Grab a few 4 packs to take home too.
