I gave them 3 stars because I have no idea how good they are, I tried to eat there twice, but even though it says on Google that they are open, they were not. There's a sign on the door saying that they are closed due to a shortage of help. Perhaps they will reopen when students are out of school and looking for work. I definitely recommend calling before attempting to go.

It is not open at this time. Very sad - loved their Irish Breakfast, the staff was always helpful - hopefully they can open soon....

I drove 45 minutes with my wife on our anniversary to get there so she could try their eggs benedict.....it's closed due to lack of staffing. Happy anniversary? Nah... :(

Outstanding food and service! I go back again and again because it's amazing! I want to keep it a secret but people should know it's fantastic!

Everything thing you want in a breakfast spot. Service is friendly and efficient, food is tasty and atmosphere is pleasant. You can do indoor or outdoor seating but the outdoor seating is 30ft from a semi-active railroad. At most you'd have one train go by during your meal. I always base a diners ingredient quality off of the toast and New Moon's toast great. If it is a choice between New Moon and the golden rooster definitely choose New Moon!

The new moon is my favorite breakfast/brunch place and has been for many years. The servers are always friendly and fast. The wait times can be long but we'll worth it. The food is out of this world amazing.Kid-friendliness: I've brought my niece here many times over the years, starting when she was 5 or 6, and they've always gone above and beyond to make her experience a great one.

Always a go to when I don't feel like making breakfast and I'm hungry. I usually do takeout because the dining is tight. They have something for everyone. I really like their sausage and biscuits and their Irish eggs Benedict

I've been here once some years back before and it's just as fantastic as I remember it. The blintz cream is delicious without being too overpowering on the sweet and the home fries were ???Need to make this a breakfast date place more often!

Not just a New Years destination but glad I started my year here. From what I see from a few reviews just on the main page, my experience was echoed in the other reviews. Decided to take a New Year's Day - Amtrak day trip up from Arlington MA and randomly picked Saco Maine and when I checked for restaurants, I was drawn to New Moon... what the heck, New Year, New Moon, made sense. 2023 is off to a great start to say the least. I usually default to an omelette, but after looking over the mouthwatering menu here, I opted for the Western Benedict. I cannot justly recall all the ingredients (and it is not listed in the online menu's I found). Suffice to say, mmmm, mmmm, Great! It is a nice cozy space, I only waited about 15 minutes to be seated (as I was leaving that time had increased and most were willing to wait and I see why). Food came hot, fresh and tasty. I'll stop rambling, but staff was attentive, welcoming and didn't miss a beat. Coffee kept flowing and all I could see around me were smiling faces and empty plates (ok, and a few doggie boxes) Thank you owners and staff for providing a fantastic day!

New Moon is a great little breakfast spot in downtown Saco! They have a little bit of everything on the menu— so something for everyone. There is usually a wait over the weekend, so be sure to get there early to put your name in, especially if you have a large party. Parking is not usually an issue. The restaurant is not air conditioned, so it can get steamy in there in the summer. The food is still worth it! They’re famous for their Cinnabon Pancakes (pictured below!). Enjoy!!

Stopped for breakfast with our UNE granddaughter - it was fabulous!!! The eggs, and omelettes were very good, great sausage links. The topper was the french toast side order - it was huge and delicious. Very helpful and friendly staff. I’m only sorry we don’t live closer! We’ll be back.Vegetarian options: Saw a lot of vegetarian friendly options.Parking: Got a space right out front. Saw a public parking lot not to far away.

I would say the food was a 3.5 but everything overall like the service and location make it a 4. I really liked the pancakes they were thick and fluffy. The bacon and eggs were standard and good. The potatoes I had however tasted burnt and had no flavor. The servers were so sweet and attentive. The wait was sort of long but it gets busy in the mornings. The food was okay, well what I got at least.
