This place is a obvious local favourite and was packed to gills when we arrived. They took our name andnumber and went across the street to the Good Wine Bar to wait (and they did have good wine!). Called back about 29 minutes later we got a booth in this somewhat kitschy, old neighbourhood place. The crowd was lively! Food was many Italian standards, basic but good. Portions are big and prices are value for money. Service was very good and friendly. So, not a fancy place but we'd go back just cause it feels like home. Thank you.

So yea, tonight I ordered seafood chowder and received clam chowder in a plastic to go container which is not industry standard for serving a higher temperature food. Any reputable restaurant would serve hot soup in a cardboard insulated to go container. We also ordered a Caesar salad which is served here with mozzarella, provolone cheese, and whole leaf romaine which is a first for me. Anyone who’s high school age or older older knows Caesar salad is served with parm, croutons, caesar dressing and chopped romaine. Amateur hour Italian foodies come and get it.Vegetarian options: Suck

Always love going here. The only thing I can say negative is the bartender never shakes the mixed drinks enough and they are always warm!Other than that it’s great!

Traditions Italian Restaurant is aptly named, as they deliver 100% on traditional Italian dishes, in a traditional welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance is cozy, the staff is friendly & the food is "delizioso"! If you visit hungry, you'll leave satisfied.

Started off with warm fresh bread, my favorite! Had the baked ziti and added homemade sausage, fantastic! Was going to pass on dessert until they said chocolate mousse, glad we treated ourselves, it did not disappoint!

We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. Excellent food, consistently, and always a great experience w/great service in the past. We just went on Sat 1/27/24 early in the evening, and it was not fun. Our food was good but the place was a madhouse. It quickly filled up w/a ton of people streaming in thru the door and all standing around yacking up a storm. They were drinking, laughing, and acting awful. We couldn't talk to each other due to the noise. So packed in, they overflowed into the dining area. It was so loud we couldn't enjoy our dinner and just wanted to eat and get out of there. At one point, someone opened the front door and stood there for a good 2 minutes holding the door open looking down the street. All the cold air rushed in and no one tried to close it. The waitress was new, very young. She seemed sweet but got our orders wrong (ordered a type of pasta, but got a different kind) and then forgot about my husband's 2nd drink. We eventually told her to forget about it and asked for our check. We paid and were waiting for another person at our table to finish. She then came back over w/the drink, but it was not what he ordered. She said it was complimentary, but we were leaving, so she took it back. What an awful experience. We think it has to do w/the restaurant not taking reservations anymore. It has turned this wonderful but small restaurant into a crazy place on busy nights. Such a shame. I hope they figure it out. I would avoid this place on Fri or Sat nights. We were so disappointed.

Enjoyed a terrific meal here last evening. The service was excellent, attentive and helpful. The cozy atmosphere was perfect for the chilly windy nite. My husband and I both enjoyed evening specials. Haddock /scallops and I had chick/eggplant parm. Both were perfectly prepared with generous portions size.Highly recommend and we will return!

Food was just okay - nothing to write home about especially at those prices. The staff there were pretty unprofessional. Bartender/Waiter picking his teeth in front of a mirror in the dining room. Waitress in booty shorts. I would have gotten a more professional dining experience at Applebees.
