Very quaint, and peaceful dining. Cute and cozy. They do have gluten- free food, we had breakfasts there, in St.Albans on our mini vacay stay. Waitress was sweet, her name is Annie. Real homemade food.. cute restrooms.. coffee is delicious ? try their Friday fish fry ?? large fish, homemade Maine potatoes, yummy for everything..Dietary restrictions: Ask waitress for dietary restrictions, suggestions, She will be grateful to help you.. Enjoy your dining experience ???☕

By far one of the best places to eat in Maine I've been to so far! The service was excellent, the wait time from order to table of food was excellent, and the cleanliness was excellent. House made food and desserts are top notch! An excellent selection of menu choices for breakfast, lunch, or dinner from appetizers, surf and turf, and definitely desserts. Highly recommended if your traveling near St. Albans. The only reason atmosphere got a 4 was the decor felt a bit sparce but took nothing away from the experience!

We have been to Shelby's twice since their recent opening. The first time was "Italian Night." The lasagna was excellent! The side salad was decent, the roll they served was homemade and delicious. The spaghetti with meat sauce was fair. The pasta was not properly drained and diluted the sauce. Dessert was divine! Strawberry rhubarb pie was homemade and was a huge slab, warm with vanilla ice cream. One of the best pies I have been served. My wife & I returned for Saturday night prime rib. It was terrific! I requested an end cut that was pink in the middle. That's not always easy to do. It was delicious. The salad was improved from bag lettuce to fresher greens. It was served with an enormous Parker roll fresh from the oven. Shelby is an awesome baker! In Central Maine good restaurants are sparse. Shelby's Cafe is filling this void. Support your local business community and try this wonderful new addition to our area.

Dinner was delicious! Fish, steak tips and lasagna with enough to bring home for left overs. Great service.
