I wasn't expecting much from a watering hole in Sanford, but I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the Mill Towne Tavern is. I checked out a few bars in the area around 2012, and everything pretty much sucked. MTT is a nice joint. I've only ever come in for a drink and something small to eat - never really stuck around to see what it's like after 10 PM. My short experiences here have always been positive. The place is clean and decorated in a cool, funky way that I have a hard time describing... like "Americana meets Roadhouse" is pretty close but not quite right. Lots of places put very minimal effort into the aesthetics of the joint, but MTT looks good. You can tell that a lot of quality work and care was put into this establishment.

I feel like this place needs a good 5 stars. I think it has gotten a less than desirable rep in the past but I can confirm it is not the place I knew growing up. The food was really good, did I mention 2 DOLLAR TACOS ON WEDNESDAYS! the pulled pork nachos were also great and the prices are very fair. Pool tables are in good shape and overall nothing to complain about.

We had fun dancing to a live local band. There’s nowhere else in town that has live music for dancing. We love to dance. People were shooting pool, playing beer pong, eating, drinking. I’ve never eaten there. I can’t rate anything else other than it’s a friendly, welcoming, lively place.

Hate to have my name attached to this because I've known the Bruno's for a long time, not like we were close but I was a frequent customer of Steve in the pool hall.I've been in mill town a few times in the past yr and enjoyed all aspects of it, reminded me of the pool hall daysI've been in alot of bars In my life and there has only been a few times that the bartenders didn't pay attention to "ALL" the customers at the bar.The 2 that were there only paid attention to the people that walked up to the service area and not the ones that were sitting at the bar all night, and only 1 of them made my drinks and the guy next to me but only after we got her attention.one of the bartenders is the owner or owners wifeNOT IMPRESSED!!!Every costumer is important!!

Foods decent but the owner screwed the cornhole community pretty bad, rest of the staff is respectful but the owner is screwing many people out of $5000 as it looks at the moment until he tries to show otherwise. Doesn’t run the tournament to the best of his ability and is pretty much just

I used to like it here.. but the owner recently screwed over an entire community of people that brought a lot of business to them on a weekly basis. Cancelled the cornhole league with no warning, and stole over $5,000 from them. Absolute scumbag of an owner to not at least try to give that money back after spending thousands at this place... Instead he apparently intends to use it for new lighting... THAT MONEY WASNT A DONATION TO YOU. It was a weekly raffle for the cornhole players!

A busy, fun relaxed, local to Sanford, ME, dance space with pool tables, tavern style menu and full bar. I look for live music for dancing. This is the only decent dance spot I've found within a 50 mile radius. We spent New Years Eve 2023 dancing there to a local band. A comfortable way to get out without driving far when potential drunks are on the road. And Frankie's a dependable friendly bouncer!

This is the only bar in town that is not a members only group. I LOVED when you renovated it. I talked to the owner of MT at Publick House extensively at some point immediately before then. Liked you a lot. Pay attention to things people need and want. I liked this place. Get RID of big guy and the very volatile bartender you have. I’ve been in this community as well as my husband. You guys are GUNNING for the wrong crowd. I wish you well.

Was thinking about going, really love to play pool and eat good pub food, but after reading the owners responses to reviews, maybe not. I take reviews with a grain of salt, but owner responses are cringe, maybe just know you are doing well and stay off the reviews, makes you look no better then the probably horrible customers giving bad reviews, rise above.

Fantastic venue, open and inviting. Pool tables, corn hole, darts, giant Jenga, pleasant staff, affordable drinks. Particularly love the Wednesday Bartender Jennifer, she’s a great multi tasker!Parking: Plenty of parking.

Wish I could say nice enough place… Better than it’s predecessor, but that’s a low bar. Bar service S U C K S. Sit at a BAR seat, they will serve you… May be lucky to get a second drink. Dare to try to close out, they will tell you that you needed to go the speed bar for that. All while watching other bar seated patrons getting served. Speak up? The 600lb “bouncer” will leave bruises all over you while waddling you out. Should I mention marinara is to be served cold? And if you ask about that you’ll get a thumb stuck in the rammiken to prove so? Trash place, like it was before, just with a facelift.

We went on a Tuesday evening to play some trivia with some friends. The place was pretty packed and had some music going and people seemed to be having a great time. As soon as you walk through the door, there's a large sign that says, please get service from the bar. Therefore we went to the bar for our drinks, there wasn't a line at the time. Ten minutes later there was a 10 yard line from the bar back. When I was at the bar the very cute bartender told me to order food from the bar as well. That's fine, I ordered and paid and went back to my table. BJ was there doing Trivia, was wonderful, as always, and he usually draws a small crowd. We had 7 in our party alone. The boys were smart and bought a huge amount of beer, and avoided the lines at the bar. The brought the food I ordered over to our table and it was very good for the price they were charging. I got the McTavern, and it was 12.00 and came with the cutest basket of fries! Adorable and delicious. Can't go wrong. The girls at the bar, where wonderful, the service was quick and the food was good. What more can one ask for. If more people read the sign at the very front on the establishment, one wouldn't sit and wonder why table service wasn't coming... just a heads up!
