“The best cakes around! I love that they offer size ranges from bite sized, to large cakes that can feed a crowd. Their seasonal flavors are always a hit, but classics such as funfetti, red velvet or plain vanilla never disappoint either. The service is always top-notch & sends you on your way with a smile on your face. The whole crew is fantastic!“
“My extended family and I came in for an early dinner on a Saturday with 4 young kids who are cousins and were very excited to be together and be out. We were far from the easiest table considering the excited kids and multiple families paying separate. We had Peter as our server and he was terrific. He was extremely patient with the kids and provided excellent service which involved more trips to our table than was reasonable to expect plus a few people changing their minds more than once. He is a great asset to the restaurant and left our family from away with a great memory of our family get together. Thank you Peter!“
“I found the setup a little confusing. On the left side is a dine-in sports bar and restaurant. On the right side is a take out pizza place. Both sell the same pizza as far as I can tell.I went for the dine-in experience. The floorplan was poorly done, I think they could redo and have a lot better customer flow. The walls were busy with lots of pictures and plenty of flat screen TVs playing sports. There is a full bar. The bathrooms were well stocked and clean. The staff was friendly and efficient.I tried the lasagna which came with a house salad and garlic bread. I had a couple of bar drinks and also tried the mud pie for dessert. Sorry I didnt take a pic of the pie, I was two-thirds done before I remembered I was doing a review. It was yummy.Everything was pretty good, no complaints. I am usually pretty stringy on giving anyone four stars, but I gave them 4 stars on service. I like to have a dirty Roy Rogers (grenadine, Coke, whiskey, in a tall glass). This is the first place that did it perfectly on the first try. Usually they use either a short glass or not enough grenadine. So hats off to the bartender. Also, my server was pretty darn good too.“
“Of all the bakeries and coffee shops my husband and I tried on our trip to Portland, Tamdem was our favorite! The Americano was delicious and the salted coconut maple scone was one of the best I've ever had with the perfect crunchy texture on the outside and soft inside. I also tried the blood orange scone, which tasted a bit pithy to me. There was a line at 11:00 on a Saturday, but it moved quickly and there was plenty of seating outside.“
“I wish you could ship to where I live ...everything was so delicious...I had the a lemon tart an this roll with an almost toffee consistency on top and nuts...I wasn't even hungry!? That's what's crazy...I thought id save for later....lol didn't even make it to Salem....so good!!!“
“what a Gem, probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The staff were so friendly, the highlight was being walked through the pastries and cakes made by their insanely amazing and talented baker. I cannot express how good the pastries were, we ended up bringing a bunch back to Nova Scotia. would 10/10 recommend a visit here.“
“Green Elephant. Much Elegant! Our sweet sweet boy wanted to go here! And we got into the BEAUTIFUL seaside city of Portland Maine! A friendly town elder welcomed us to the city! We went into Green Elegant and ordered soda. Less ice next time please! The man who I drive with ate some tofu and noodles and had his shirt tucked in because this is a NICE place to eat. Our Sweet boy ate something he liked. Vegan options for those animal lovers who don’t want to kill god’s creatures but also don’t want to eat mud and grass. And for me…Green Curry at the extravagant Green Elephant. The kind waitress said, you want this spicy? I said lemme get a 2 spice. Spice scale goes to 5! 2 is good. I DID NOT want to cause a scene cause Spicey gets me riled up. Can’t embarrass our sweet boy he’s shy! Shyness isn’t bad this world needs all kinds of people. Be understanding and live life with love. So I sipped soda which was blueberries flavor. And not to belabor the point but next time I’ll sip from the bottle…too much ice in the glass. Like the North Sea. Him had gift card! 50 bucks. I loved the curry and caused a small scene!“
“Love this place! Favorite neighborhood spot for lunch or dinner or just to take a walk and get a snack. The “puerco” and the “tomato” empanadas are great and the churros are amazing! The space is nice but also a great takeout option.“
“Delish! Grab a seat at the bar or at one of the tables and you won't be disappointed. The waitstaff is friendly and moves people through the restaurant in a timely fashion. The food is farm fresh and savory. Sure to delight your crowd young or old. Don't be alarmed by the line out the door as it is one of the only (and best) breakfast stops in the area.“
“Was in town to visit the University of NE, and went here with my gluten intolerant daughter. Absolutely fantastic beer, and had a great time talking to "Pidge" about all things beer, Biddeford & Maine. I could not tell the beer was gluten free - it tasted THAT good. One interesting bonus: after having a couple, I did not get that "full belly" feeling from regular beer. I may have brought some home with me :)“
“The food was very good, my lasagna was very filling. The meatballs were delicious and the sausage were very tasty. I was disappointed with the garden salad, didn't consist of much but the housemade dressing was tasty. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was decent, somewhat cozy. Prices were a little high but not unreasonable.Parking: There is a decent amount of street parking, only had to walk about a 100 yards“
“I'm still thinking about Dizzy Birds 24 hours later! From the mouthwatering ribs to the delightful sides and dessert, everything was a hit. But let's talk about the chicken--pure perfection! Our party of 25 unanimously agrees, this place is a must-visit. Mic drop.“
“So grateful for this place! Not only are their butter crunch donuts *the best* any day of the week, but I recently ordered a birthday cake and cupcakes for my daughter's 1st birthday. The team was communicative, the turnaround was quick, and the cake was gorgeous and delicious. New go-to for event needs!“
“Great coffee and service. Love the mission and impact this coffee shop has on live in Rwanda - it's mentioned on their website and that's what drew me to visit. Barista was super helpful giving suggestions about local spots to check out while I visit Portland!“
“I have been using Tally's catering on Steven's Ave for large cooperate events for about two years. It is high time I write a review. They are life savers! Everyone asks where my catering is from, and compliments the special attention made to allergies, and food preferences. Julie is a joy to work with, the food is always on time, labeled, and displayed beautifully. They work within my budget (difficult to find in Portland) and I am always impressed. You should hire them.“
“The food was good. The service was slow, considering we were the first customers. We ate inside. It's a small place in town that's in an old building, so i didn't expect more than what i experienced. I would definitely go back. It's good for what it is.“
“I've been to Thailand and I've tried many Thai restaurants in and around New England. The food coming out of this kitchen is excellent! My personal favorite is their Pad Se Ewe, but the Pad Thai is also very good. If you're in downtown Portland and looking for a Thai restaurant, look no further than this place. You won't be disappointed.“
“This is the go to for pizza in Maine. A nyc friend was up a few weeks ago, and was very timid to try ottos.. he's a nyc or bust kinda guy. He would not shut up about how impressive every slice was. From the pep, the classic cheese, even the potato and chive.. he would not shut up until he left town “
“I'd been wanting to try their Portland branch while staying near Maine Medical but a blizzard stopped me. So today we went to the Saco location with friends and even this California food snob was impressed. Enchiladas were great, my Patacon(fried green plantain topped like a tostada) was delish and more than I could finish, guys liked their Lomo Saltidos. Only the tostones were not that good. Finally I can have good Central American Food in Maine!“
“We are visiting from the Boston area. I was nervous trying a new pho place but I will say this place was delicious! The broth is rich, sweet, and full of flavor. My kids ate all their food. My wife and I got the spicy beef and chicken pho and the flavor of the broth was on another level. Please try it out! The waiter came by and asked us how we are enjoying it and also wanted to meet our kids. The service was personal and sincere! Thank you guys for the meal!“
“My family ate the gluten free pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving without even noticing it wasn't their normal pie! They went back for seconds! Thank you so much for getting your product into stores. Your cooking directions were great and eliminated the dreaded "soggy bottom". Please stay in business for at least my lifetime, having celiac is made a little bit easier with you around! I'm thankful this year for The Maine Pie Co!“
“We were really excited to try this spot in Portland after perusing the must-try spots for dinner. Glad we stumbled upon this restaurant while we were researching, because it did NOT disappoint.Ambiance is trendy and fun, with decorative wood details, lots of plants, and mood lighting. The servers were very attentive to our needs, made suggestions, and were super friendly. And the best part, the food: we ordered the soup dumplings, pork pan fried dumplings, orange beef, duck lo mein, honey walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and lobster Rangoon. We ordered QUITE a lot for two people but it was all eaten. The soup dumplings had great flavor, great broth, and strong dumpling skin. However, I’m under the impression they weren’t handmade (no hole on top). Not a huge deal, but it was still super good. The honey walnut shrimp was CHUNKY! They were ginormous pieces—perfect for 2. The orange beef was so crispy, perfectly sauced and tender. But the superstar of the night was THE GREEN BEANS. You can taste the breath of the wok on the beans. They’re perfectly seasoned, charred, and had perfect crunchy bits of garlic. Can’t wait to come back during the summer months!“
“Never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday and the vibe was positive. The service was fast, the food was decent and when there was problem with one of the meals, the meal was refund upon checkout. I will return again for another meal, drink, whatever. Another review will also be on the Menu. I liked Bruno's.“
“My wife and I absolutely loved our first visit to the Sinful Kitchen and will definitely come back when we are in the area. The homemade corned beef hash was some of the best I’ve had and my wife’s cinnamon roll waffle was also a huge hit. Service was great as well. It was busy and the place isn’t that big so you might want to make a reservation ahead of time.“
“First time in Portland visiting a school and on the way out of town we needed some breakfast and coffee and I'm glad we stopped here. They had so many options for both coffee and food so I asked the girl at the register and ended up getting a caramel latte which was really good. I also got an egg and cheese biscuit (couldn't wait till to take a bite before I took a photo) and 8 of they're famous Bennies. Probably the best decision I've ever made! They were so delicious :D Overall the service was quick, employees were nice and the food was even better!“
