Great seasonal barbeque place right near the beach. After a nice afternoon at the beach we ended up stopping by here on a whim as we were craving some barbeque. Sauces are great, meats are pretty good. Location and service are

We went to Garage BBQ today . Seated quickly . Drink order taken within 2 minutes . App order after another 3 minutes. So far so good . We ordered the pretzel. HUGE and delicious with a great dipping sauce . I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had the pulled chicken entree. All of it was delicious. Wow, it exceeded our expectations. Service spot on ( Josh) and food was timely and well prepared. We will be back soon .

Great service. Cocktails are yummy, beer variety is good. Food was good...not great: portions are generous. Variety of 4 different BBQ sauces each equally good. Would I go back..yes.I would like to try some of the appetizers and other dishes.

Brisket Sandwich with sea salt fries, slaw & pickles from The Garage BBQ in Scarborough, ME. juicy brisket on that crispy Texas toast, next level stuff. Loved the sides also. A must try if your in that neck of the woods (or beach)

Anyone who knows that BBQ is a religion should visit the temple known as the Garage BBQ near Pine Point. Tonight I placed an online order while waiting for a bucket of fries from Lisa's in OOB and by the time we drove down to the Garage I walked in and my order was ready within a few minutes. This was my first visit and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with slaw and the EZ Rider BBQ sauce (which they sell in bottles with all of their other sauces) and the onion ring tower. The pulled pork was served on a perfectly toasted bun and was moist and succulent and the EZ Rider sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and a little spicy. It came with bread and butter pickles and I ordered a side of slaw which was perfectly dressed and crunchy (next time some will go on the sandwich!) The onion rings were thick, crunchy and perfectly battered and came with a house-made remoulade sauce. While this was my first visit, it certainly won't be my last!!

Decent garage atmosphere but that’s about it. Can’t really say much good about anything else. The brisket was subpar. Asked for sliced got chunks. Dried as heck for half of it and not worth what they charge. Completely tasteless. Should have to flavor it with a sauce to eat it. Cornbread they rave about was good and moist. It would be nice to spice it up a bit. The pulled chicken was a bowl of mush drowning in liquid with some weird taste. The ribs came up undercooked. Couldn’t even pull the meat off the bone. Rest assured by the server that all meat is probed to temp. I wouldn’t even consider this place to repeat eat. Mac and cheese so so. Again way overpriced and not good BBQ. Go elsewhere.

First time at the Garage BBQ and we loved the food & ambience. Prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. I loved the sweet corn bread tasted somewhat like a cake. The sweet butter was too sweet so my husband and I left it off the remainder of our cornbread. My husband loved the ribs, Mac and cheese! I loved the pulled pork and the pickles were so good!! Excellent customer service cute rustic style decor. We definitely recommend and will be returning:)

Today there was a motorcycle accident at the intersection in front of the restaurant. Multiple people who were sitting at the outdoor seating area got up and ran over to help including myself, an off duty firefighter. An off duty nurse also ran over to help. I myself along with others overheard two workers including my waitress talking down about those who ran over to help, as well as the first responders who showed up in the fire engine, ambulance etc... I heard that very old "tax payer dollar" comment. Let me break it down for people who are uneducated, when the call comes in for anything but specifically a motorcycle accident, you don't know exactly what you're going to be responding to.. so "overkill" is better than not enough resources. For example, the motorcycle or car could catch fire, the patient could be a bigger person so you need more to help lift, there could be multiple patients, you need people running traffic control and plenty of other responsibilities. Most of the time, the people who call 911 are stressed out and don't give very accurate info.. you alway me expert the worst. Moral of the story, if you don't know what you're talking about, just be quiet. If you are working, keep your opinions to yourself. Lastly, they teach us this when we are young, "if you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" I will never return to this place that I have enjoyed for years.

One wouldn't think lights out BBQ a few blocks from the ocean but welcome to The Garage! This place was super relaxed and chill but the star is the BBQ; my wife and I shared the overhaul and couldn't really nail down a favorite! Everything was 5 star and they have an excellent draft selection. This place is on par or maybe slightly better than my favorite place back home. I'm already trying to figure out my next visit when I'm back here in a few months!

This place was disappointing. Got into our rental house down the street at 4pm on a Friday night hungry with no plan for dinner. Walked in here around 5pm to get some takeout BBQ. I was surprised it wasn't more crowded given the location on that busy corner and on a nice August Friday night, but since we just wanted quick takeout, it was fine by us. Had a drink at the bar while we waited. Nice kids working there for the summer, but they were clearly not a very experienced or well-trained crew. Checked back with the desk after draining our drinks and our order was ready. (He told us it would appear behind the desk when ready, but maybe next time you could just stick your head around the corner and call my name when it's ready? Or, heaven forbid, hand it to me in the bar? We were the only ones waiting for a takeout order and only people sitting at the bar. It's not rocket science, kids, it's just customer service.) Anyway, the bigger disappointment was when we got home and ate our dinner. Smoked 1/2 chicken for my wife, the chicken queen, and 1/2 rack ribs for me. The mac & cheese was pretty good. They gave us three kinds of BBQ sauce (on the side) and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between them, and they were all cumin-forward, which is not my favorite flavor in BBQ sauce. The ribs were pretty sad. Just falling apart, looked like they had been steamed to reheat or something. Saddest part: they didn't even remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs, which is really all that held the meat on the bone. Don't believe I've ever had ribs served that way in a real BBQ restaurant. My wife's smoked chicken tasted pretty good to me, but was similarly falling apart when I tried to part it. But according to her, it was dry and awful. They also gave us three pickle chips with each dinner. They were fine. (HEY! I just now realized they didn't give us any cornbread with our dinner orders. Love cornbread, but I can't review what I didn't receive!) That's a very limited review of their menu offerings, but what we had was not very good. Please try harder. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to succeed with a BBQ restaurant in this prime location in this busy, walkable, family vacation area.
