My friend and I chose to dine at City Farmhouse while visiting Portland because of its abundant claims that they source their produce from "local farms". When we arrived at the restaurant and clarified with the staff, they informed us that none of their produce is sourced locally and their meat is from Cisco. The $24 cheese plate was synonymous with what you would get on an airplane. We left, disappointed. Very deceitful marketing - those who do not eat factory farmed meat, beware of these false claims!!

Says it’s farm to table but it’s not. They get their meat from Cisco. Truly disappointing and disturbing. Lying on the menu is pretty strange and unethical. If you’re looking for F2T this isn’t it!

It's a 3 dressed up as a 9. Food was blah, half the menu wasn't available, overpriced.

Aside from a bit of a long wait to have our order taken...this place was amazing. The food was served quickly and it was perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a breakfast above and beyond the norm.

The chicken salad BLT was flavorful and nicely done, the smoked seafood chowder was the real star, it could have been a meal in it's self, the flavors were well balanced it wasn't too think and the snokiness wasn't overpowering. The brussel sprouts were cooked nicely but were lacking in range of flavor, the only thing that came through was smokiness. Wondering if they were actually deep fried :/

Vegetarian options: I am a vegetarian and there were a few options for me to have. Typically it's one of two things, but there were at least 10 options which was nice .

Nice place. Great food. I almost didn't go here because I thought going to a hotel restaurant was weird. Glad I went!

the waitress left the table when we were still trying to tell her about the bill and she didn’t ask us if we wanted to split the bill when we were still talking to her she walked away laughing she also she took long to bring back the reviews when she went in the back her and her coworker were laughing at us when we were trying to figure out our bill she. Also when we split the bills she came back with it she mixed up everything. when we asked for chocolate cake she said “OH CHOCOLATE CAKE “ emphasized it Insinuating that we are fat she was also laughing in our face thinking were to broke to pay for the bill just because it was a lot. Also when i ordered my steak i ordered it well done she gave me rare the steak was still bleeding

Ordered a chowder to go since I was staying in the hotel - it came in a small cup that was HALF filled. Disappointing and expensive. Flavor was ok.

Located in the Sable Oaks Sheraton, but feels like a standalone dining venue. Cozy, sophisticated without being pretentious. Looking for a late supper on a Friday night, avoiding the “franchise options” surrounding the Maine Mall. Delighted to discover this restaurant was open til 10 PM, even more so when we were seated at a charming fireside table, with comfortable upholstered seating. (Bar seating looked nice too, we’ll try that next time.) Inventive and extensive list of specialty cocktails. Beer list looked equally interesting. We both had Chicken Tagliatelle - perfect hearty pasta dish for a misty Oct evening - and so happy to have the option for a half portion. Food and drink were all excellent quality and presented beautifully! The best of what hotel dining can be!! We will be back!!!

Wow! One of the best meals we've ever had. Crab crusted haddock was incredible. Mussels in ground mustard broth were so good. The Blueberry glazed Salmon salad was addictive. Staff worked as a great team. Some say its weird that it's in a hotel. But. It's right at the front door and so worth it.
