We went to the Merriland Farm Café in Wells, ME on Friday, 4/19/2024. The food was delicious as usual. There were two issues, which might very well be related. First, there was the server, Olivia. The server: 1) When we asked us to order, she stood 10 feet away from us and it was odd and challenging hearing her. 2) She also dropped my credit card on the floor. She picked it up and simply handed it to me; there was no attempt to wipe it off. 3) Three or four times, she told us that she could not wait for her shift to end because she had 2-3 days off. The business practice: 1) The menu indicated nothing about different charges for substitutes. 2) I ordered a side of pancakes, which were $6.00. She asked if I wanted blueberry pancakes or plain, which was not differentiated in the menu. I was not told that it would cost 1/3 more. I said fine. 3) The same problem occurred with the maple syrup. Olivia asked if I wanted the house syrup or locally produced. She indicated that the locally produced was delicious so I said fine. That was an extra $3.00. 4) She asked my wife what type of cheese she wanted in her omelet. My wife said Swiss cheese, which was an extra $3.00. 5) Upon receiving the bill, I asked Olivia about the extra charges indicating that we did not see any notice on the menu nor did she inform of us these extra charges. Her response was that “he” told her to handle such matters this way. So, we had to deal with a strange server, who behaved unethically allegedly at the direction of some other person, who I assume is a manager or the owner. The bottom line is that we had to pay for extras that we did not were additional charges.

The food here is phenomenal. I got the Greek omelette and it was the best omelette I've had in my entire life. So much flavor and it was so big I was able to take half home for dinner and throw it in the air fryer. Can't get over the flavors in this! Also shared French toast which was also amazing. Highly recommend! The waitress Tracy was super friendly and attentive and is great at what she does. The ambiance was nice, tucked away and very cute and cozy but definitely not small. I will be going back!

I like this restaurant for a morning brunch. They have good brunch options and a nice bar. I like sitting outside but depending on the time of year you can deal with Maine insects and bees. The inside is a little dark for my tastes.

Everything is wonderful! The people, the food , the place, We have been here a few times now, it's tucked away in wells so oftentimes we forget about it. The food is fresh and delicious and their menu is great. They serve Coffee by Design coffee and today we ordered their pumpkin teabread! Yumm. The portobello and veggie omelette were delicious and the house potatoes were cooked perfectly well.

After sitting for twenty minutes without as much as a cup of coffee and a later arriving table being served before us, we decided to leave.

3.5 stars Vibe: Farm to table, cafe is next to a golf course Service: Everyone was very nice, the hostess was friendly and let us know that they were understaffed and was very accurate with the wait time, the waitress was clearly working very hard, one of our side dishes was missed and even though she quickly got it out to us she took it off the bill Food: We got breakfast, menu changes seasonally. Pumpkin stuffed french toast - the filling was very good, house made whipped cream was fine, french toast itself was very basic and brought the dish down. House hash - very close to what you get from a can but for me that's a win, very salty, textures of the corned beef and potatoes are great, definitely greasy House potatoes - solid texture, crispy outside with soft inside, salted well but no other seasoning made them a bit plain. Value: Portions were just right, food was solidly good but not great, service was great despite them being short staffed, I'd say just about on point/slightly overpriced. Other: It's a bit of a maze to find the hostess, you have to go around the back of the building, following half a dozen signs going through the restaurant to find it. Parking available although not a ton of it. Overall: I will probably try some new places the next time I'm in the area rather than come back here but it's not a bad place to go.

This is a nice casual spot where we had a really good brunch. The food is definitely a little more elevated than your typical breakfast cafe. I had the lobster cake benedict which was very good. I really like their seasoning on the Bernaise. He had the biscuits and gravy which he absolutely loved. The brisket was soo tender and delicious. Our server was friendly and helpful. She let us know a table of 17 was about to order so we could get our order in ahead. It's a pretty small place and there were no walk ins available the morning we were there so reserve ahead!

This was a great place to play some Par 3 golf. My son is just getting into the sport and loved being able to practice in vacation.

We had breakfast (French Meat Pie and Salmon Cake Benedicts ) and found the food to be just average, nothing great about it. Not farm to table. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The drive from Kennebunkport to the farm was great.

One of the best family-friendly and enjoyable takes in Wells, ME. This Par 3 golf course is situated on a very scenic plot of land, away from the chaos of Rt. 1. Relaxing environment. This course is perfect for beginners and seasoned players who want to work on their short game. The staff was over the top friendly and actively engaged. We went on Memorial Day so it was busier than usual. They escorted us to start on hole 5 so we didn’t have to wait. We played continuously with no delays. It was perfect and I’ve already recommended this place to others. $21 was a steal. Very affordable.
