“Wonderful service and food“

“We’ve been going to Sea Basket for 20+ years. The lobster stew, haddock chowder and scallops are the best. Call ahead for fast service as seafood must be cooked perfectly, the way Sea Basket has always prepared our meals.Sea Basket is clean, not sticky and smells right. Run away from any seafood restaurant that smells of cleaning fluids or “fishy. And yes, we dine in on occasion to break up the drive, but mostly take out.Parking: Plenty of free parking. Easy on/off route 1.“

“So, on the road, we were hungry for breakfast and saw this little quaint place. Market Cafe is a big hit for those on the road, and wanna stop for breakfast. Fantastic customer service. Real down home cooking. The pancakes were very tasty. The Keilbasa, 2 eggs, toast, and cubed potatoes at $11.95 were very reasonable. Great New England coffee. Great customer service. Great talk with the locals.“

“I had dinner at this restaurant while visiting Wiscasset over the weekend on a recommendation from family who lives locally, we actually went twice!! So safe to say we were fans! The decor and surroundings themselves were so homey and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, I am dreaming about the Haddock sandwich still! Truly the only complaint was the size of the salads which a few members of our party ordered was slightly disappointing. But they said that the flavor was fantastic and the shrimp they added was big and delicious! We also had the crème brûlée for dessert which I am also still dreaming of and probably will be for a while!! The service was fantastic, we absolutely loved our waitress! The whole atmosphere was wonderful; and I am sure we will be back next time we are in town visiting!!“

“Coffee shop attached to a wonderful bookstore. This is a must visit if you are in the area. Great selection of coffee, tea, baked goodies, and egg sandwiches. Can be crowded on busy weekends, but they move it along, pretty quickly. Never had trouble finding a place to seat. They also have outside seating!“

“The oysters are great - always have been! But what the Shuck Station is doing better than anyone else in town, is offering a variety of choices that are all approachable and delicious. We had the hummus plate and the oysters Rockefeller to start and both were incredible. We also had the pork belly bao buns and the smash burger, both tasty and satisfying. The cocktails are interesting and thirst quenching. Come for the oysters, sure, but don’t sleep on the rest of the menu!“

“I went for the first time to Oysterhead Lounge which is part of the Newcastle Public House but sort of separate also. It's a lounge upstairs that has live music and events and a separate bar from the restaurant. I went for open mic night and it was really fun! They had a really awesome open mic setup. There were lots of jams and the local camaraderie vibe was pretty awesome. There's also a small pool table room off of the lounge. It's a fairly small space so it gets pretty crowded. I got the haddock sandwich which was delicious. “These lobster rolls were amazing and the fries are super crispy. Not as good as Connecticut lobster but that’s a preference. Still amazing. If you’re lucky enough to get Tianna as your waitress you’ll have an amazing time here. First time in Maine and wow what an experience“
