Food is just okay, but this has been our favorite place in York since I was a kid. Sits right on Long Sands. Not likely to get parking in the summer but can park behind the Inn. Gluten free rolls available.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free rolls=hamburger buns (not great ones)

I’m not rating the restaurant as I have never been there. I’m very surprised how these many smaller populations of these towns all along the eastern seaboard feel like they are in charge of the country. I have had fresh crab rolls and chowder flown into the center of the country. Very expensive and very tasty.

Small menu, but it has enough variety to please most. I had a surf burger. It was fine, the fries were good. Another had the fried chicken sandwich, and that looked great.Vegetarian options: Not many, but a couple salads & appetizers.Dietary restrictions: There are no obvious choices. Would have to special request.

Just had a great meal of Halibut, and baked haddock.... Wasn't expecting it to be as amazing as it was ! Will be back for sure ....* * * Update 1 year later * * *Was expecting same results ...Was disappointed with Most of our meals ! Server was great . Wasn't her fault ! But , quality was far from expected and less than Par ! To bad ..as this has been an annual Valentines weekend event .Going to have to change plans next year ...and probably won't be staying at Anchorage Inn either , due to experience ?

Good location but the food is not good at all. They definitely need a new chief. I have had much better clam chowder. The fried clams were greasy and expensive. Anytime you dine out, put around 30% on top for the menu prices.( 7-8% sales tax Plus the 20% tip)

Classic seafood, nice service and atmosphere but a little on the pricey side for lobster roll and fish and chips.

Lovely covered outdoor setting. Server was sweet and took good care of us. The White sangria was not to my liking as I thought it sour, but my party enjoyed it!

The visitors center told us to give it a shot and we LOVED IT. A little cool. Had a Lobsta Roll, and hubby had Haddock bites. Both delicious. Debbie was fabulous and is in Deerfield Beach for the winter. We sat right on the ocean, wine was excellent as was the service.

I ordered sea scallops and there was one sea scallop along with about 5 small bay overcooked scallops on plate. Way overpriced for amount of food on plate. Seafood chowder was basically broth and a couple pieces of canned chopped clams, nothing else. The server was wonderful, view of ocean was great.

The waitress we had was absolutely amazing!! The food wasn't that good but the view and our waitress was worth it!!

Location awesome, staff good, food was awful. Bland. Boring. No life. Got 4 appetizers, bacon wrapped scallops, bruschetta, bam bam shrimp, spinach artichoke dip. It was just not good nor worth it for the price. Even our mixed drinks were not good. And to spend $93 dollars on it was mind blowing. Super disappointed, won’t be going back again.

Lunch was 54.00 for one person. Way too much. I had lobster ravioli and it wasn't a decent serving. A bowl of clam chowder and a water. The scenery was excellent. Ricardo was our server and was very nice and attentive. I liked the seagulls better than I liked the manager.

This place is ok, more of a novelty experience. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier between us and the staff (we are English speaking), so there was a miscommunication in the order, but the food was still ok, nothing special. The coleslaw is awful though, tastes rotten. The best thing about this place is the outdoor seating if you can get it.
