Atmosphere is nice, food was okay, but service was sooo slow. All drink refills required flagging somebody down and took 10 min to come back with them.

Had a wonderful brunch today with family. As a person who is allergic to tree nuts, sesame and gluten this brunch was amazing. So nice to go out and enjoy the menu of healthy choices with great flavor. I had the Mountie on gluten free bread. So delicious. We will definitely be back again!

Cheesecake Brownie: Oh man...this was outstanding. Rich, but I was able to finish it. Btw, IT'S GLUTEN FREE! Lavender Oat Milk Latte: Not a sugar bomb like a lot of flavored lattes at your run-of-the-mill coffee shops. Perfect amount of lavender. Clearly, it's gorgeous There were plenty of other choices for baked goods and coffee drinks. The "latte lady" was a master (Super Bowl Sunday @ Noon; give her a raise). Different drinks had different plating, which shows attention to detail. The brunch menu looks outstanding and the couple plates I saw looked delicious. I will be back to endeavor further.

A lovely place for Brunch. Their menu had sections like heads, tails, soups, etc. Service was with a friendly smile. Even though it was crowded the waitress stopped by multiple times and checked if all was good. Would recommend for special occasions dining.

Went to MudPenny this morning with my family of 4 including an 18 month old toddler. Service was great with very attentive and family staff who had good knowledge of the menu and was able to make recommendations on different dishes. The environment is warm and cozy, great for a quick coffee and bite or there are some seats in the back corner for a longer stay. It definitely gets crowded over the weekend so come early or prepare to wait a little bit for a table especially if you have a bigger party. Food was good, we ordered the almond pancakes, French toast and chicken salad along with a mac and cheese off the kids menu. Everything came out timely and tasted great. Will definitely come back to other items.

Love this place. It gets packed, and there is a reason for it. The food is really good. We usually hit this place up when we are in GR. The ambiance can be a little loud, but it is aesthetically pleasing. Don't miss this place.

MudPenny is what happens when the little coffee stand that could grows into a fantastic eatery/coffee joint/hangout spot. It's easy to like. Welcoming coffee shop vibe with a dining room to boot. Sit at the counter or take a table. Staff are friendly and proud of what they're doing. The menu I sampled was special for an event I was attending, but I did try a few of the regular dinner offerings. The tagliatelli dish is off the charts yummy. House made tagliatelli noodles are wide ribbons of al dente goodness, tossed with a light vodka cream sauce and served with thick toast. Just want dessert? Get the coffee creme brûlée--it's lights out fantastic. You'll tell yourself you're sharing, but you won't pass the spoon. MudPenny has become one of Ada's little gems. If you're in town give it a (espresso) shot!

I ordered their OG breakfast sandwich and I was left disappointed. It was bland (the garlic aioli was sparse and only in the center), on the small side in terms of portions, and overall way overpriced for the product. I've had better breakfast sandwiches at the airport. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

We were invited out for dinner. I was asked if we had dined at Mudpenny. Never been. The restaurant was very nice but a bit noisy as it is an open setting. The dinner menu had a limited selection. I asked about the Mushroom Steak Frites. The waiter told me would be an excellent choice. Dinner was slow coming but as dinner arrived, an item was sent back because of being overcooked. For some reason, my item came a bit later. My "Frites" was also Very disappointing. It was a large plate of cottage fries with four thin strips of mushrooms on top. I was expecting more of a steak-sized mushroom. I should have sent it back, but since one item was sent back I just decided to keep mine since this was our friend's favorite place. However, they both saw what I got and thought the same and should send it back. I ate part of it and took the rest home for breakfast. I wrote a letter to the restaurant as to how disappointed I was paying $29 for cottage fries with four thin strips of chewy mushrooms. I included a picture of half the leftovers so they could see what I was complaining about (see pictures). NO REPLY or call to at least acknowledge my concern. I will not be visiting Mudpenny's as it is overpriced for what I received.

This was my first visit, and most definitely not my last. Very enjoyable, healthy breakfast. Fresh and very "Tasty" Outstanding coffee! (How often is breakfast ruined with bad coffee, not here). Very nice setting in Ada Michigan. Ada Village is a quaint area with excellent restaurants and shops.
