Great flavor and huge portions! I literally have dreams about the Kalua Pork, so so good. My only complaint is the lack of vegetable side dish options.

Ordered 60$ worth of food and it was all flavorless. Chicken was slightly rubbery, ribs had barely any meat only good thing was sushi. Beef ribs 1/10 Pork 6.3/10 Beef 5/10 Chicken 2/10 Fried chicken 3/10 Sushi 8.1/10 This is being generous.

This is a legit Hawaiian BBQ restaurant! They have every single one of my favorites from the islands - and it is all delicious! Finding this place has made me deliriously happy. I had the kalua pork and chicken katsu plate. The pork was smoky, juicy, and rich. It had plenty of salt - maybe a bit too much. But it was just as I remembered it. The chicken katsu was crispy and perfectly cooked. The plate lunch was rounded out with the traditional, two scoops of rice, macaroni salad, and cabbage. It's comfort food in a styrofoam to-go box - nothing fancy, but exactly what I crave. They also have loco moco, whitefish, spam masubi, and many other traditional Hawaiian dishes. The only traditional items I didn't see were chicken long rice and lau lau, but those are rarities. I am in heaven!

A solid entry into the Ann Arbor food canon. Portions are really big for the price. The macaroni salad of all things is really good, good saltiness and creaminess. All the meats are flavored well too.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Aloha and am definitely going to come back. I want to keep supporting them so we can maintain family businesses with diverse food in A2. It's crazy that Ann arbor is so limited with selection in some areas. I'm glad Aloha is here. I ordered the BBQ combo and my husband tried the katsu. I also had a Hawaiian canned drink and the spam musubi. I devoured the musubi and considered arm wrestling my husband for the second one. All of our food was hot, well cooked, and yummy. Meat and carbs. The prices were fair and you get huge portions. The restaurant looks geared towards take out, but they do have seating inside. We ordered online, which I think is the best option because I struggled communicating with the cashier.

Our first time trying the place, I would say it was good, but not excellent. The chicken katsu musubi, side salad with ginger dressing, bbq chicken and teriyaki chicken were decent, however the chicken curry did not resemble or taste like curry and did not have a traditional curry sauce whatsoever. Maybe Hawaiian style curry is different than the Indian or Thai type curries that I am accustomed to. The Mac salad was tasty, but lacked anything other than pasta and mayo sauce (doesn’t Mac salad usually have bits of bell pepper, celery and/or chopped onion?). I think this place has promise, my kids really liked it, so we will give it another try in the future.

Our first time here today and it will be out last. We ordered chicken katsu , white fish , short ribs and fried spam rolls. None of those were edible . It was BAD! Chicken Katsu and white fish had absolutely zero flavor and super dry. Short ribs had a nasty after taste and tasted like beef jerkey. The beef was definitely old. After few bites of everything we threw out everything. My hubby is not picky and eats anything but he couldn’t even finish one piece of the chicken katsu. Thankfully it wasn’t too crazy expensive.

Very lowkey, with easily one of the most enjoyable rice/meat platters I’ve had in Ann Arbor. Very sizable portions, incredible value. If there are local joints that deserve more recognition, it is undoubtedly this hole in the wall spot.

Got delivery from here and it exceeded expectations! We got the Aloha BBQ mix with BBQ beef, chicken, and kalbi short rib, a Loco Moco, and spam musubi. All the meats in the BBQ mix were fantastic - very tender, savory, sweet, smokey. The loco moco was good, kind of felt like eating a cheeseburger of sorts, maybe could've had more of the brown gravy. The spam musubi was ok, and better with the sweet glaze that came with it. Each of the mains came with rice and macaroni salad. The latter was creamy but not too heavy with a lighter flavor to let the meats shine. Also got a strawberry guava juice to try - good but too sweet for me. Delivery was fast and the food arrived hot. Portions are generous - we could've split one entree between two but wanted to try more. We're full and with leftovers!

This is the same restaurant 'chopsticks' but rebranded. Food was good the first time. Did not feel well the second time. Interesting switch, Hawaiian food is good I just don't like the inconsistency.
