Pretty good Turkish food. Not your typical Turkish doner. More of the homemade food. Owner is pleasant and the service is fantastic.

While the food was good, the server and owner possibly (?) were nice, and the atmosphere was quiet, the potions were extremely small. I should have taken a photo, but my lamb stew lasted for about 3 bites with only specks of ground lamb. (And that was the dinner portion!) My husband's meal was also very small. He got only 1 small pepper as the main entree for dolma. We both left hungry, though we spent a lot of money for the lunch (I think $60 altogether). It started with the soup side that was already small, and then came the main course which was even smaller. I thought that at least for the price, we would have received more food. If this place was more generous with their portion sizes, I think they would have much more guests eating there, and I would be one to line up again. But I can't bear to return to this restaurant due to the reasons stated.

AUTHENTIC HIGH QUALITY HOME COOKING!! This place is so charming and honestly a hidden gem! My fiancé and I stopped in here while visiting Ann Arbor and he is from Turkey. He was missing his mothers cooking and this absolutely hit the spot. Their menu is always changing and includes Turkish comfort dishes. The woman they helped us was so sweet and explained everything on the menu in detail. Everything is amazing but get the tomato stewed green beans no matter what. They are life changing!

The food was so delicious! I loved that it really tasted homemade with a delicious balance of flavours. I had the lentil soup and a borek. Both were perfect. I felt like I was going to a families house dinner. Thank you!

This restaurant offers fabulous Turkish home cooking.
If you are in need of a home cooked meal please come to Aye's Cafe. My father loves meals that "stick to your stomach" Aye's is that and so much more. I got the lentil soup, lamb meatloaf in a spicy tomato sauce, and finished the meal with a Turkish coffee and chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely incredible. You can tell the care that goes into every dish. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

Delicious authentic Türkish food, from an authentic Türkish family! Ayşe and her staff are truly wonderful people, serving a variety of "home-cooked" meals and treats. Vegan friendly as well! You won't be disappointed with the flavors Dine in, or take out!

Though I find her prices a wee bit high, there are other items on the menu that are reasonably priced like her vegetarian appetizers, stews, Boreks and soups. She knows how to cook and appreciate the effort each dish is spiced and made with love.
