We were actually looking for a different restaurant when we found Grand Traverse Pie Company. The staff was polite helpful. We enjoyed lunch and a slice of pie. The pie crust is wonderfully flaky. The pie was so good we picked one up to take home. I didn't mention the selection of pies was fantastic, there were at least 20 different kinds to choose from.
The food is good. Sometimes the people who work there aren't that friendly. Prices went up and portion size went down, and now you have to pay extra if you want a side like chips.

Pie Day was a perfect day to try this place out. Everything was spot on, but the food that wasn’t a pie. The French dip was lacking in taste and meat, but the bread was good and easy to eat. The potato & bacon soup is worth going back again for. All the pies we tried were awesome. That’s to be expected from a pie place! So yes, it’s worth a stop! Pepsi products at self serve.
