Food was dreadful . We were the only ones there could be a good place w a decent chef but the food was horrible we threw it out.Hopefully a good chef will revive this place.

We went for the first time on a Thursday night and enjoyed some trivia. Having been in Germany a few months prior, what really brought us here was the König Ludwig Weissbier and the $10 1-liter boots did not disappoint. Spaetzle, pretzels, and burgers were incredible. Great atmosphere and overall a wonderful meal with even better service!Kid-friendliness: We brought three 14 year old boys and they had a great time helping with trivia.

Currently just another bar. With a themed German setting. And name. The music was wrong for a German restaurant and the food was not all that appetizing. The only thing we liked was the pretzel. Could take a page out of the Dakotah restaurant in Detroit.

The new menu doesn’t disappoint. I only had the curd but for $10 you get a veritable cornucopia of spicy cheese. This is a good deal by local standards. I hope heidelberg ownership sees this I would like my tab comped please. ??

According to the staff, we were the first people of the day there at 8pm. None of the TV's worked when we were hoping to watch the red wings game. Wait staff were new and had no idea about what any of the beers were and could not understand some of our questions. We had a group of 6 and 3 out of the 6 got served completely different beers than what were ordered. Wait staff admitted they were new and were very unfamiliar with what they had available. Music was very wrong for a German beer hall as well, they put on Latin club music. I have come here in the past and been happy with the place but this time it was no different than a low quality dive bar. I hope that they can get back to a higher standard.

Heidelberg used to be my go to spot, but for some reason everyone is gone. The bartenders from both up top and down below are gone! It was a major disappointment to see me and my fraternities main pace to go getting... neutered.... I don't know what's going on, but this is not the Berg I used to know.

We went here based on the reviews and much to our disappointment, it was awful! The posted menu on their website is FAR from the actual menu. If you want to go to drink and have a bar food, it's your place! If you want a German meal... move on! The server was very pleasant and attentive, however we waited 45 mins for our "meal". In hind site, we should have left! Our server apologized for the wait and said they had new kitchen staff. It was a great disappointment, but live and learn!
This place charges $10 cover charge. I sure hope that it goes towards repairing the potholes on the dance floor.

Who doesn't love Heidelberg? I've never gotten the boot because you have to leave a deposit in case the glass breaks or people steal it, but wonderful drinks and it's so charming inside. Always amazing bar service as well.

The staff looked miserable. No one greeted us at all. Sat at table over ten minutes & no one even came to our table with a menu. I guess I now know why there were only 5 people at one table dining and the rest of the place was empty.

This place is an historic landmark fir authentic German food. Very authentic, with an old school bar. We arrived late on Fri night and assumed they were closed, but we were able to get a fab bar meal: curried bratwurst w sauerkraut, pickle chips and waffle fries. All washed down with German beer. Excellent! We will return..
