steps away from the diag is the jamaican jerk pit. the jerk chicken was incredible- meat falling right off the bone and the plantains were delicious (medium spice is a must!). service was very friendly and attentive. so happy to have tried this gem in the middle of ann arbor!

And the chicken and veggie patties perfect for the windy weather we experienced today…I told them that I would be back when came through again…I will be holding my promise of that.

First time trying Jamaican food and I have zero complaints. I got the chicken on pita and I typically don't love lots of onions but they were flavored great and super tender. The service was nice and sociable too. Would come again and try something else.

Been a couple of times and everything I’ve gotten so far has been delicious & flavorful (vegetarian delight - excellent, those plaintains…! , festivals - great server rec! , pineapple ginger beer - love, beef patty - perfect heat & spicing ?, veggie patty, & coconut cake)! Service was fast both times (I’ve gone in the evening, dine in & take out). Staff is lovely, attentive & friendly. Interior is relaxing and colorful—love the vibe. Look forward to trying more!

Hands down thee best Authentic Jamaican Cuisine I've found. Searched high and low and Jamaican Jerk Pit was worth the ride. From the first bite to the last bite. The beans and rice were perfection along with the cabbage....... My taste buds had being longing for a taste of such exceptional cuisine. I drove from Oakland County to Ann Arbor to get more than my tummy satisfied, but my longing for great food..... Ambiance is very West Indies and befitting of the cuisine and homage to a people.... P.S. Chef we could use a restaurant of your caliber in the Southfield/Detroit area.......

I will die about this place. Tee was so amazing and the chefs were phenomenal. Been eating here for over 10 years and they have NEVER disappointed me, ever. Fun. Good food. Nice workers. Place is a bit of a dump, but that adds to the character of things. Jerk pork and jerk chicken are amazing. Fried plantains are solid. Always get medium or high spice. Plan on a wait and don't be mad when it's slow - you're on island time, so live that way for the moments while you are there.

Finally got the chance to try this place and it did not disappoint! We dined in and tried the jerk chicken and curry chicken entrees, which were both delicious, and we had plenty for leftovers. Servers were very kind too! Not bothered at all by the wait time-- they told us 45 min and it was about that long, but you can tell they're working hard in that kitchen!
