We had dinner plans elsewhere for earlier in the evening and wanted to stop in here for some dessert at 8:45 pm before going to a nearby comedy club at 9:15. The person on the phone told me we couldn’t have reservations for dessert unless we had dinner there as well, and then proceeded to hang up on me while I was trying to ask another question. Pretty bad policy and pretty rude staff.

My husband and I just went in for dessert to go. We had seen the desserts online, and that’s what drew us to the restaurant. The restaurant was busy, and after taking our order, they could’ve easily just thrown our items together and sent us on our way. But from the host, to the bar staff, to the ambiance, to the dessert preparation, everything was beautiful and absolutely delicious.

Such a cool spot in Downtown AA! A little pricey but because it's attached to the Chop House. Our server Aya was amazing! You have to go through the Chop House doors and the greeters will take you to the cigar area. If you are gluten free they have Crème brûlée and sorbet and Gelato.

We got the bananas foster bread pudding and mudslide cheesecake and it was delicious. Great treat on a special night. Our server, Maria, was a delight and very knowledgeable about the menu.

What a bummer. Our favorite restaurant has lost a step. Food was not up to standard and wine list has changed. Now they're pushing their own brand and the wine is sub par at best. Our waitress (Gina) was the only thing we enjoyed. She was fantastic. Sadly we probably will not return. Time to find a new favorite.

We went here for dessert, they're part of a Steakhouse. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. All the desserts here were superb! They're part of the Chop house Steakhouse which is a bit confusing.

an absolutely heavenly, life changing dessert experience. i don't think i will ever enjoy anything this good again in the rest of my life. my existence is now ruined with the knowledge that something this irresistible exists on our earth. shouts out to ashley

We've been many times, and its usually good. Tonight was terrible. Wait staff spilled my wife's martini on the table, stuck her hand in the drink to remove the shaker parts, and served the drink anyway. The German chocolate cake was frozen in the middle and my Manhattan looked and tasted like it had more cherry juice in it than bourbon. We'll give them another chance, but tonight should have been comp'ed. Unfortunate.

Delicous desserts and our waitress was very knowledgable
Downstairs is so intimate and relaxing. The lights are low, the chairs and couches are comfortable. And the desserts are stunning! Great date place!

Went in because we heard of the desserts. We ended up getting a glass of wine, the lobster bisque, and a dessert each. It was super good!

This place is unique in Ann Arbor, as far as I know, and a great place to change things up with a drink, cigar, and dessert. Old school classy...

Fantaaaastic concept - a dedicated dessert lounge!! You enter thru The Chop House and awkwardly let the host know that you're there for LDV as there's no dedicated entrance of La Dolce Vita. There's about 8 desserts and a "dessert of the day" to make it extra difficult for you to pick. So we went for two desserts and a port flight: *Toffee Blondie Sundae (Warm Coconut-Pecan-Butterscotch Blondie Topped With Vanilla Ice Cream | Oat Streusel | White Chocolate | and Rum Toffee Sauce Poured Tableside) - mmm rummy rum. I feel like if you like Rum Raisin ice cream, you'd like the flavors of this! It was pretty decadent but not in a chocolate-y way. I couldn't stop eating it! *Brown Butter Lemon Bar - this was the dessert of the day. Loved that it was topped with ample fresh berries and wasn't too sweet. The toasted merginue-y whip was a really nice touch too! They also had a tasty looking boozy coffee beverage, which looked bomb but we were too full!
