Love their soup and sandwiches. It is difficult for me to get to the restaurant so depend upon delivery- my main complaint is that their online selection of soups do not match their online website selection. Totally confusing and never know which to order by, the phone menu or the website menu! Several times my order was cancelled at the last minute because the soup I ordered was not available. Not fun when company is sitting at my house waiting for the lunch I ordered. That's my only challenge with this store . Other than this I love them! They have had struggles in the past but seem to be overcoming most of their problems. Most of the staff I have encountered have been friendly and helpful. The manager especially took time to reach out and remedy a concern I had with a delivery. Keep up the good work!

Stopped at the Plymouth Rd. location in Ann Arbor to get my daughter something to eat after she was discharged from U of M hospital. I ordered a large soup and she ordered a soup/sandwich combo for carry out. We waited 21 minutes for this order while other customers came and went. We finally got our order and after we got on the freeway to head home, she noticed that her soup was not what she ordered, and something she couldn't eat. I called the store but was told I'd have to return to the store for a refund or replacement which would have taken me miles out of my way. The order was expensive ($25 including tax for 2 soups and half a sandwich with skimpy filling), took a ridiculously long time to get, and was incorrect. Won't be going to Zoup again!

I ordered the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich - supposed to come with hummus, feta, carrot, lettuce, cucumber and tzatziki. I ordered online and picked up the sandwich from the little shelf and took it to my car. It felt a little light, but I didn’t think much of it. I took a bite of it only to realize that it was only bread and lettuce!! I went back inside and told the very nice worker that I’m pretty sure a few things were forgotten off the sandwich, and he told me they were out of the hummus, feta and tzatziki. That is fine and understandable, but why would they not tell me when I picked up, or offered a substitution? He offered to put a sauce on it, but bread, lettuce and sauce doesn’t quite make a sandwich either. Did they really think I wouldn’t notice I just spent $13 on bread and lettuce? They offered a refund, which I accepted, but I just checked my bank account and the charge went through. So I spent $13 on one bite of bread and lettuce - ha! I am kicking myself for not taking a pic of the “sandwich” because it was the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.

First of all, they have a new sauce called Hot Honey sauce, not gonna lie, this is the best sauce I have ever come across in my extensive restaurant career. It's very spicy & sweet. The service; well let's just say, is out of this world. If you want to be treated like royalty instead of like family, come here. The phrase "Good enough" is clearly not in these people's vocabulary. Excellence exudes from all angles, from the stunning upholstery to the beautiful decorations adorning the walls as an interior design masterpiece. The synergy of the team was unlike anything you'll see in this world. Hot Soups

Concept seemed promising, experience was beyond disappointing. I recently took a group of 9 to the Plymouth Road location in Ann Arbor. A smarter person would have bailed while we were still ordering as a group, but I had mouths to feed and limited time due to us being on a work testing trip. The shift manager (at 1:30pm on 4/20/23) was disengaged and indifferent to our experience as customers. Our wait for food was beyond long, and several of us received COLD food even after I started running the food myself because I saw it piling up in the back and I asked if I could help them. The food was pretty much all cooked in a rapid toaster oven -- which, by the way, was microscopic. Overall, the food was mediocre at best. The ladled lobster mac and cheese is quite literally just lobster bisque with boiled noodles added. Unpleasant. One of our group members did not receive food at all and the employees tried to tell me their screen didn't show that I had that on my order. I had to pull my receipt out, that I had thankfully kept, and battle them and then WAIT even longer for the final meal to be completed. Just horrendous experience across the board. I have never in my life been closer to walking back up to the register to demand the tip back I gave them pre-emptively on the credit card terminal due to such poor service and bad quality food. Other customers, especially those who ordered after my group, were visibly bothered by their experience (which, a fast-casual restaurant should be able to have a group of 9 people order food and not totally derail their operations). If we had wanted to wait that long we'd have gone to a sit-down restaurant with better quality food. I have cut my losses and see no reason to return to this location.

Wish this place was closer to home! Soups are great. Lots of variety so I don't get bored with just one. Been here 2 days in a row now. Please open one in Texas!

Was kind of confusing to get to, as it's inside of Zoup and doesn't state that on the website. The only place I saw a sign with MacLove on it was a small sticker next to the door.Mac and cheese was also just warm when I picked up my online order, which I was on time for. The flavors of my truffle pasta was okay. I wish I could have rated this higher.Update as I'm eating my food: a lot of the mushrooms on this mac and cheese are cold, and it's off-putting. I likely won't be coming back to either MacLove or Zoup.

The manager on duty was extremely unprofessional. I witnessed him yell at an employee (as he was walking out, albeit the employee was yelling back) that he would "punch him in the face as the employee was walking out. I will never come back to this location again even though I frequent Zoup in Northville and used to at Twelve Oaks. I could not believe it.

I live nearby and have visited 3-4 times over the past year. The experience has been similar every time. The food tastes good, but it is very overpriced and the portions are small. I ordered a entree sized bowl of the Baja Macaroni and the container was barely over half full. I just find $9 plus tax and drink and tip to be a bit steep for 6 spoonfuls of mac n cheese. The foid tastes good, but the stingy portions at steep prices are going to keep me from going back.

The food was good overall. The bread was a little hard for my liking and the greens tasted a little bitter, but overall, it was a good meal. The price was in line for the portion size. I would eat here again.

This was the first time that we did an online curbside order here. We scheduled the pickup at 2 pm and it wasn't brought to our car until 2:17. We ordered salads and they had a lot of lettuce that looked like it should was fresh a few days ago. We also upgraded one salad with chicken and didn't get any chicken. I have eaten here several times pre-covid and it was fine. Maybe they are just bad with online curbside orders?

I ordered to go on the app. Everything was "As ordered" on the website, but everything about it was terrible. When i went in to pick it up, the place was clean and it was just one guy back there sweeping. When I was in college I used to love getting the baked potato soup, or one of the many other options. Since then it seems the quality has drastically changed. I got: The two item combo: 1.) Modern Tuna- the tuna was not even a 1/4 inch thick, there was 3 small pieces of lettuce, and about 3 pickled onions. The only flavor was from the bread, and the 1/2 sandwich was smaller then a deck of cards. 2.) Chicken Wild Rice soup- the flavor was bland, the most exciting thing were the textures, but it didn't taste like anything but milk. My boyfriend got the two item combo: 1.) Maple Bacon and Ham Sandwich- He sarcastically said "This is the best sandwich ever" It had two small slices of ham folded over so it looked like 4, had a slice of cheese and 1 small slice of bacon. He said he couldn't even taste the maple, and it was bad and very small (his sandwich was also smaller then a deck of cards). 2.) Lobster Bisque- This was beyond terrible. Lobster bisque should not taste just like EGG NOG. Yuck. I tried it too, nasty. There also was only 1 chunk of anything and we think it was the crawfish. My son got the Mac and Cheese with goldfish crackers. The only thing he liked was the goldfish crackers..... I tried it, it tasted just like watery flour. I miss the days when I LOVED to eat here, I am not sure why I spent $30 for what we got. It was at best flavorless, and at worst revolting. I will not be coming back here.
