I really like the food at Mani. I was told Mani had the same owner as Isalita. Their Mexican food was so bad, I couldn’t believe it. Mani should double in size, forget that other place.

My girlfriend, Sarah, and I visited this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. We weren’t able to make a reservation ahead of time for only 2 people, but the wait was only a few minutes (although we got here around 6 and it seemed like the wait got longer by the time we left). We started off with the house made focaccia and would highly recommend this. The honey butter that came with this was the star of the show. We also had the margherita pizza and the pesto + pomodoro pasta. The pizza was delicious, thin, and filling. The pasta was very fresh and we liked how it was cut and shaped. The pasta was perfectly salty and just enough to be filling. Wait staff was great, wait times were short, and the environment was a good mix between casual and fancy (no need to dress up, but you also wouldn’t stick out if you did!). We highly recommend this restaurant!!!Parking: There is a paid parking garage about a block away on Thompson street that is $1.20 per hour, there is very limited street parking that is also paid parking.

Went out for lunch with my kids and we ordered a variety of dishes including the Pistachio pizza, Puttanesca pizza, Chicken Piccata, Chicken Parmesan, handmade mozzarella cheese sticks, and Focaccia bread. Everything came out okay except for the chicken dishes, which were a bit disappointing. However, our server was understanding enough to replace them with corrections.I appreciated the good service, and despite the chicken mishap, I'd be willing to go back again.

We went here for dinner and had a great experience! We had a reservation at 6:30 and it was full! Service was quick and food was great! Our server Morgan was very knowledgeable and provided great hospitality! For a table of 4 we ordered: - pickled tomatoes: plenty of tomatoes with a tapenade and cream butter and perfectly toasted bread. If you need more bread, they will offer and provide! - toasted ravioli : 6 ravs with marinara - very good! - arancini : 5 mini balls with a tomato/almond paste - very good! I love mini arancini balls over larger ones! - calamari : very crispy, not super meaty but good. Not my all time favorite but group as a whole enjoyed. - 3 pizzas : all came out cooked perfectly and flavors were great. We loved the tomato jam on the Quattro formagio! We also had the Italian stallion and the supreme. Supreme was the best meat filled pizza We enjoyed our cocktail and their cannolis! We were celebrating a birthday and they did a nice variety of mini cannolis for a bday celebration. We will be back!!

Once again, I find myself in Ann Arbor downtown, working in support of the clinicians that make a difference for all of us. Ann Arbor has so many wonderful dining experiences that it's tough to choose. I walked to Mani from the residence Inn on a very brisk cold night, which only motivated me to get there quick happily walk off any calories I am certain to enjoy. As you enter, there is a hostess stand that will assist you and generally you will need to get on a list for seating. I found an open spot at the bar and was greeted very warmly by the bartender, who offered me a menu, a glass of water, and a quick bourbon of my choice. I ordered one of their wood fired pizzas and it came very quickly. The presentation was great, both the proteins, and the vegetables were very fresh and tasty. I wasn't daring enough to try one of the pizzas with an egg on it but the customer next to me did and swore by it and it did look delicious. The bartender was attentive but not over the top. There's a limited wine selection, but will meet most peoples needs. I will definitely come back because they have many selections and a wonderful drink menu, including beer, wine, liquor, and specialty drinks. This week the students were off, so I was able to get a seat quickly, but I would not depend on that as a general rule of thumb plan on waiting for a seat and it's worth it.

appetizers were decent but quantity was extremely small especially for the price. Pizza itself was awful and did not live up to expectations. overall mani is extremely overpriced and

TAKE OUT REVIEW: First time trying Mani, decided takeout as the wait was a bit long. Ordered calamari, shrimp scampi app, margherita pizza, and the eggplant parm. -Calamari was good flavor, very small pieces of calamari. -Scampi was probably the best thing we ordered, tons of flavor, shrimp cooked perfectly. -Eggplant parm with the pomodoro sauce, sauce was fantastic. Light and strong flavor. The eggplant part was decent, flavor on the breading was too much. Not super crispy either but also takeout so can't complain. -pizza was ok. I got my hopes up a bit as I haven't had a great wood fired pizza since neopapalis closed. Wasn't what I had hoped but again takeout. Sauce had good flavor, cheese was fresh. Did seem a bit salty for some reason. Will certainly go in and try it in person. Good experience overall.
