Pretty good sushi. The rolls were fresh and tasty. We tried the snowman, spicy cali, yellowtail and superman. It was a bit pricey.

As a devoted sushi enthusiast, I typically set high standards when dining at upscale establishments. Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant left me thoroughly disappointed. The sushi rolls were excessively fishy, resulting in an unpleasant taste and an unsettling stomachache that lingered throughout the night. Regrettably, we couldn’t even bring ourselves to finish the $50 worth of food we ordered. Despite the culinary letdown, I must commend our waitress for her excellent service. In summary, aside from the redeeming ginger salad appetizer, the overall dining experience was disheartening.

Ordered a blizzard roll, kiss of fire roll, spicy tuna roll, and cucumber avocado roll. Every roll had a spoiled fishy taste to to them, even the veggie roll we got. Had to take off the white tuna on the blizzard roll as it was unappetizing because of the over powering fishyness. We couldn't finish our sushi and did not take it to go. Ginger salad was the best thing we ate. Our server was kind and attentive, no complaints there, but overall a disappointing food experience.

It's not going to be the best sushi you ever ate but they are reasonably priced compared to other sushi restaurants. If you're going for more value then quality this is a good

Delicious and fresh sushi rolls! They have a huge menu to choose from. The atmosphere is perfect for date night and you get away from the business downtown. The wasabi martini is unique and a must try!

I have had this account for a long time but this is the first time I am writing a review. Unfortunately, it is not satisfactory experience. It left a sour taste in my mouth, pun intended, that I had to take my time and energy to leave a review. I had to write it so it stops living in my head rent free. It’s my first time and definitely the last in this restaurant. We are visiting from out of town. We went in and there is not a welcoming atmosphere. My family is from here and have had meals from this restaurant. We had dinner and one of our orders was Sashimi. My family complained and shared the disappointment about the food to our server. They questioned the freshness of the sashimi to our server. Our server came back and told us that the owner is the sushi maker and confirmed it’s sushi grade. My family insisted that they are not satisfied. The server apologetically, politely and immediately asked what can she do to fix it. When the replacement/new order arrived, it was served by someone else who asked what’s wrong with sushi. You can tell by the voice and demeanor that her guard is up. She briefly introduced herself as the general manager. Her attitude was rude and demeaning. She had this bad energy to her. Whiile my family was trying to tell her what’s wrong with the food, she “sshh” my 2 year-old who was just standing on his seat(it was a booth) and babbling a word or two to us. She then told us “I’m getting a lot of complaints” directly to our 2 year old. She said this passive aggressively. We were stunned by this and we just didn’t know what to say. We have not had an experience like this. This restaurant could improve on their customer service. I get it, it’s not fun to hear complaints. I essentially work in customer service as well. I completely understand. However, you are in the customer service business, please do not have a nasty attitude towards the customer. I wish I have gotten her name - she’s white, tied up hair, maybe 5’3 or 4”. She handled it poorly and displaced it towards our child. She might be the same person other people have written about. This restaurant really have to take this seriously and take a step back and re-evaluate their general manager. It this keeps coming up in other reviews, clearly something is not right. She did not apologize and has no intentions of making it right. The message we got was “you are wrong and you are not welcome anymore in this restaurant”. I’m gonna go ahead and take liberty to suggest taking a class on Zingerman’s customer service training. They have excellent customer service.Furthermore, after that passive aggressive moment towards our child, it did not seem that they are kid-friendly. Please specify in your website next time or before letting people come in. Perhaps, sit them in a farther location which we wouldn’t mind if asked. Trust me, as parents, disturbing other people is not on our list of things to do for the day.The only saving grace with our experience is Vannie, our server. She was warm and kind. She was the one apologizing to us which we told her not to. Bless her heart and soul. This is the last time we will eat at this restaurant.

Miki is a great Japanese restaurant. You can park right outside (street parking or parking lot) and enjoy a variety of sushi as well as other Japanese dishes. I never had anything that wasn't good.Keep up the good work, Miki.

Miki is one of the higher-end Japanese restaurants in Ann Arbor and is located just a block or two down from Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor right next to Live/The Last Word. When I was in college, I would only come here during AA's Restaurant Week because of how pricey it is and I always had a great time here. The food is solid, the ingredients are high quality, and their menu hosts a variety of interesting items, combos, rolls, etc. The seating arrangement and ambiance within the restaurant has diminished in quality over the years I think. Nowadays, it looks like a place that could do with a bit of an upgrade. Additionally, you are sat pretty close to one another, with only a curtain lightly dividing tables away from one another, in interesting L-shaped booths. These style of booths then also make it that someone is always staring directly over at another person across the aisleway, so it just makes everything feel very close quartered! I would still recommend Sadako as the #1 spot to check out if you're craving Japanese given how good their food is. Miki is a comfortable second in my eyes within the Ann Arbor area!

My new favorite sushi spot in Ann Arbor! Tried the Kiss of Fire, Strawberry Blossom, Caribbean, and King Salmon Roll (not pictured) and they were all delicious! The restaurant has a very nice calm ambiance, the service was spectacular, & food came out quick.I’ve been back a few times since my original review and still loving it. Their specialty cocktails are gorgeous and the Caribbean roll is our new favorite!

This is my all time favorite sushi restaurant! The service is always so quick, kind, and considerate and the food is always SO delicious. I am surprised they don't have a line out the door every night - I was with a party of 8 last night and we came here for my birthday and it was truly perfect!!
