I laught when I saw so many 1-star review complaining about the service. Yes this is a very unique restaurant with a distinctive owner. Don't expect any service, but you can definitely expect the best food. If the owner feels there are too many customers, he may even randomly close the shop earlier, like 6:30pm kind of earlier. One of the best restaurants in Ann Arbor area.

The worst service that I've ever experienced in my life. The server is a middle aged Korean guy but he has PMS. Sometimes he smiles, sometimes he yells, and sometimes he completely ignores any presence around him. If you want to ride on his emotional roller coaster, go for it. You'll find yourself having a digestive problem. Oh, I just realized that there's no zero star option, so here's a one star which is too good for you!

There's lot of reviews complaining about the owner/male waiter. The food is decent but terrible service. Went in as a family of four, but they didn't have ingredients for two of our orders which were very standard (japchae and buldae stew). Instead of telling us they didn't have ingredients, they went ahead and served us something different entirely. Will not be coming back.
