My family visited here today for the first time. The waitress was absolutely fantastic but the food left something to be desired. We ordered buttered noodles for my daughter (2) and they were hard and all stuck together. Like actually crunchy. ? The cod I ordered was very good but the sandwich we ordered was basically inedible. The Brussels were fantastic and the drinks were good. Lovely place but not sure if we'll go back.

I have enjoyed going to Real Seafood Company for well over a decade. Consistently yummy seafood. It might not be the best value (pretty expensive and portions aren't necessarily large), but we like the food, the ambiance, the service. It's an approachably nice place to get a good meal. I also like that you can kind of create different experiences for yourselves. Feeling more casual? A steamed mussels bucket with a side of fries is a great meal for $18. Or the seafood alfredo is good bang for your buck too. Feeling a little more upscale? Their twin lobster tails are consistent and decently sized. Lots of fresh and specialty fish options. Delicious bread and butter to start (that's really unique!). Large wine list!

Saturday night at what I expected to be a nice enough restaurant, but felt more like a day care given all the screaming children running around. Also I didn't see hotdogs on the menu, or know where the bleacher seats are kept, but I sure did see a lot of grown men wearing baseball hats inside. Maybe that's just "Pure Michigan?"

My choices in food were great! Broiled oysters, she crab soup, twin fried lobster tails were very good! Very busy Saturday night. Lively atmosphere.

Went for a valentines dinner and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The table they sat us at was right above a heat vent and we had to cover it with a coat to prevent our legs from burning. After half an hour we were finally given bread. Our appetizer was apparently “lost” by the kitchen and our food took 45 minutes to come after that. When it did come, the salmon was so dry that we didn’t even bother finishing it. It took another half an hour for our server to come back to notify him that we wanted the check. The only saving grace was that the server realized we were upset and comped the appetizer and gave us a free piece of cheesecake. We should have just gotten reservations at chop house instead of trying a new place.
Had a fantastic date night here. To start I had the Detroit Sour which was delicious! Similar to a whiskey sour, it was sweet but tart. We got the fried calamari as an appetizer, which came with a delicious saffron aioli. But my fav part of the meal was the Miso glazed Chilean Sea Bass. It was fresh, light, and buttery! It just melted in my mouth, I was in heaven. My husband had the Tuna Shanghai, which he loved. I tried a bite and it was soo good. Perfectly cooked and tender in the middle, it tasted like a light steak! Yum! We were too full for dessert but we will be back

From the food to the staff, everything was amazing! I took my boyfriend here last night, with 2 friends, for his birthday. The Moscato, Paella, Pecan Chicken, Key Lime Pie, and Creme Brulle were to die for. And our server Jeff was not only nice and knowledgeable of the menu... He was hilarious and put up with our comedy show shenanigans... ? It was a pricey night, but definitely one we won't forget! Thanks ✨️
My small party along with our waiter Jeff had a great time! I'm glad he was part of the whole experience. The amount of laughter and the willingness to produce sippy cups was top tier! There's nothing quite like drinking a pretty expensive bottle of wine out of a child's cup and I'm here for it! Will definitely be back again ????
This was my 2nd time at Real Seafood Co. (Ann Arbor, MI. The 2st time was years ago. Last night, 2/3/2024 reminded me why it had been so long. The food is just nit good. I ordered the Surf and turf. It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I requested my steak be prepared medium well, it returned between rare,medium and had absolutely no seasoning on it. Also, there was no butter for my lobster. I wasn't going to say anything to the waitress but to pay $60 for my meal, I should have it prepared how I requested. She took the steak back but when it returned it was well done. Of course by the time the butter arrived the lobster tail was cold. The only thing good about my meal was the cup of clam chowder soup I had as a starter. My hubby had the pecan crusted chicken, it Aldo was flavorless. My daughter ordered the crab stuffed with lobster. The was the only one that enjoyed her meal. I wanted really bad to order key lime pie as dessert, but didn't want to be further disappointed. I will not give this restaurant a 3rd opportunity to waste my hard earned money.

The sweet and spicy calamari was fire, along with the crème brûlée- unfortunately our entree’s were very bland or missing their sauce. Server never cleared our table and somehow kept putting large trays by our table to clear other tables… so we ate dessert surrounded by other tables dirty dishes and dirty dishes on our table.
