I ordered a chai and it tasted only like hot water. I thought they did something wrong or maybe they didn’t make the drink correctly… I am unsure. When I asked if I could get another drink (same exact price) the cashier wouldn’t just let me exchange the drink, she wanted to charge me for a new drink with a small discount.I ended up just tossing my chai out. I guess the point of this review is to probably skip out on the chai.

We visited Ann Arbor for the weekend, and were lucky to find this shop. The owner, John is passionate about his coffee, and it shows. I got a plain cold brew and my friend got a latte and muffin and they were both delicious. Highly recommend for the unique decor and great staff!

One of my favorite coffee shops in Ann Arbor. Can get pretty crowded, just a heads up. Love their outdoor seating and mason jars when you order to eat there. Their breakfast burritos are scrumptious

Consistently the best coffee shop in the city. The quality of their coffee is miles above anything I’ve had elsewhere. Helpful and courteous baristas and nice decor.

5 STARS. 10 stars, 100 stars, 1 Million Stars if that was an option. Wow this place is a gem. It's like a Oregon feel coffee shop in the middle of Ann Arbor. From the vibe to the quality to the spirit of the place screams somthing different here. It's right on the ave of downtown so it's easy for residents, students and professionals to get to. There is ample outdoor tables and seats. Inside there is a big counter style table in the back, ledge seating throughout and I sat at the Pac-Man game table. The coffee is WONDERFUL. I got the long pull. Wow the taste was out of this world!!!!!! I also got the breakfast burrito. It was good but the ancho chili sauce and the green wicked sauce made it the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Pro tip; People tend to be more friendly and better looking here too!!!!!!!!!

Cute shop, and maybe the coffee is good for those that drink it. I got a chai latte which unfortunately didnt work for me. I like my chai to be very rich snd spicy. This just tasted like milk to me.

I came here Wednesday 10/18 and Thursday 10/19; both times around 3-3:30 and they served me just the nicest matcha lattes I’ve ever had both times. So good; and the temperature of the drinks was perfect and they were clearly made with care and skill. I’m a pretty grizzled old person but I exclaimed with delight when I saw the latte art of a perfect heart today when I went to pick up my excellent drink. I was so delighted that I didn’t even feel too butt hurt about the fact that I’ve probably made 1,400 lattes and that none of them looked nearly as good as either of the two that I picked up at this place. I think the staff is really great at their jobs and I’m very grateful for what they made for me. I’d recommend this place for anyone who needs cheering up, or who is trying to impress a cutie, or who is motivated by any other suchlike aims.

Delicious coffee in a great location! This place is busy and it’s clear why! Loved the free, self-serve water as well. One of those little things you don’t know you need until you see it! :)

Nice Location and clean toilets, but the Coffee is horrible. I had a Latte with oatmilk and the oatmilk tasted terrible. The plain Coffee of a friend also tasted bad. Wouldn‘t reccomend this Café

I love Roos Roast—if you’re a coffee snob, it’s a really good option in Ann Arbor. My favorite thing to do is go on Thursdays before noon when they make their avocado toast—it’s the best toast in town. It’s not just like guacamole put on toast; there’s goat cheese and smoked paprika and lime and other good stuff that just goes perfectly together. Plus the coffee is phenomenal and the vibes of the shop are perfect!

Wonderful little coffee shop. Fantastic coffee, warm and friendly staff, and a surprising amount of seating for it's size. Definitely top tier coffee place in Ann arbor!Vegetarian options: Veggie options available daily! Short menu in general thoughParking: Parking garages carb be pricey but are always available. Be ready to walk if you want free street parking; you can find it but not nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible but the front door & storm door can be tough to get through if some one doesn't help
