The Broken Egg is now out of business. So sad. We loved this place. Not sure if they will reopen.

Great food and service, I had the Ranch Hand. It's one of the places where you can tell you are in Ann Arbor, I can't explain it. I wish I was in the area more often.

Quality & quanity... you get both. Walked by and saw the remodeling in progress. Can't wait for reopening.BEST OF THE BEST BREAKFAST IN ANN ARBOR

We went to The Broken Egg on a Saturday morning at 9:30a (after paying to park) and it was closed. I gave two stars because I am sure, had they been open, it would have been great. They weren't so it wasn't.

Had breakfast here right before I left town. What a great last meal in a weekend of great meals. Service was fast and friendly. Food was even better than the reviews led me to believe. Coffee was especially welcome after a late night out.

Consistently one of the best breakfast places in town!

This was a very small and quaint restaurant. I highly recommend going the food was out of this world and the workers are nice and attentive!! You can't go wrong here!!

Good food ? polite staff and a warm feel to the place
Completely turned off by this business after my experience calling them: After reading the last review, which discusses the servers only wearing face shields (and NOT face MASKS), I decided to inquire before visiting! I called and asked if it was still true that some servers were only wearing face shields and not masks, to which the lady on the other end very rudely responded "yes, it is!" and HUNG UP ON ME. First of all, I am baffled by how this broken business is getting away with this direct defiance of the current state LAW, and second of all, I cannot believe that its employees would have the audacity to be so rude to a potential customer DURING A PANDEMIC! I certainly will not be visiting unless there are MAJOR changes to the way things are ran here. 0/5 honestly

I have always loved The Broken Egg!! It's my favorite go-to breakfast restaurant before going to the farmer's market. HOWEVER that definitely changed today! My mom and I went out to breakfast as a way of supporting local businesses during COVID-19. I felt extremely comfortable once we sat down at the table due to the fact the waitress weren't wearing masks ONLY face shields. I've been to a few restaurants this summer and they all were taking proper precautions but I've never seen staff only wear shields. I did not feel comfortable taking my mask off while the waitress was taking my order or anytime she came back to the table. It just seemed incredibly unsafe. Especially when you consider the fact costumers are sitting down and a waiter is standing over them. Nothing is stopping droplet from someone's mouth to fall down into the airAnother I noticed was the temperature... It was freezing in the restaurant! The a/c was going plus all three ceiling fans. It was so chilly the point my coffee and food was cold before I even finished half of it. No one wants to eat cold eggs!I love this restaurant, but I definitely would not come back while we're in a pandemic. It did not feel safe.
