I was looking forward to a nice vegan Irish Reuben on St.Patricks Day -Googled this location-dirty, it smelled like rotten food-huge disappointment-order the Irish Reuben out of politeness-it was ok-The cashier was all sweaty-Im like WT-thumbs down-the food is nit fresh, the place is not that clean-would never recommend

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place! Everything is delicious. I've been three times I'm the last couple of months and have had the gyro, cheesecake bites, cocoa crunch bites, a build your own roat beef sandwich and today tried the "two" pairing with the BBQ tofu salad and BLAT. Amazing! I wish they were closer to my side of town, but I'll still visit often.

Best vegan ruben sanwiches I've found anywhere. And I've had some good ones. Other offerings are equally as good. For vegan sandwiches you can't beat this place.

aesthetic: 2/5 food: 4.5/5 service: 4.5/5 i love vedge cafe's food!! they have a diverse selection of vegan deli meats, which is such a nice surprise to find in a small college town :') i would love to see their sandwiches' vegan cheeses being offered for sale here in the future!! as for vedge cafe's food, i am a fan of their 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad deal. it's a great way to sample their menu without having to commit to one item on your dining visit there. personally, i thought their mushroom panini was tasty but a bit subpar - it was basically some fancy bread with regular mushroom tomato sauce and some hints of cheesiness. for the salad side, i always get their buffalo tofu salad -- the tofu bursts with flavour and has a perfectly crispy outside/meaty inside texture. vedge cafe also has desserts that aren't too expensive and great for satisfying your sweet tooth. my personal favorite is their chocolate cinnamon babka, which was offered during a local vegan bakery doing a pop-up week here. however, the serving sizes are very small, even for the full-size menu items. health-wise, i think that is great for portion control, but wallet friendliness, not so much if you're looking for a regular-sized sandwich or are super hangry. compared to the other 100% vegan neighborhood spot, detroit st filling station, vedge cafe is definitely the more hole-in-the-wall spot. while its ambiance might not look as cute and inviting, the food comes out so much faster here, which is ideal for busy students looking to grab a quick bite. overall, while the food here might be tiny, it sure tastes delicious and would definitely please non-vegans. i'll be back soon to try their stromboli and pick up some of their deli meats too :))

Loved the food at this Vegan restaurant. Everything we have tried was really well prepared and healthy.
Great vegan food. The Irish Reuben has plenty of filling and the pb and chocolate shake was thick and quite delicious. The restaurant has limited indoor seating (5 or 6 tables) and a couple outdoor tables. Staff were friendly, food was quick, and there's some meter parking out front. Definitely recommend!

Amazing food! The vegan meats are fantastic, and you can buy them deli style. Everything is well priced too. There are a few fun drinks you can try as well, like ginger beer and kombucha.
