For a place that I saw a whole hog coming out of the back, I had pretty high hopes. Very interesting decor with tons of antique salt and pepper shakers adorning the walls. Unfortunately, we were incredibly disappointed with the food and service. Our waitress was very unfriendly and short with us. The prices, for what you get, were outrageous. $7 for a glass of draft root beer! ? $20 for a small breakfast skillet that was under seasoned. $10 for a cup of soup! $25 for a basic pulled beef sandwich and fries, which was not very good at all. The coleslaw literally came in a condiment cup that you might see ketchup in. Why so stingy? They also used bitter chocolate chips in the kids pancakes.... Why? I would look elsewhere, there are plenty of other dining options around for a reasonable price.

Absolutely good food with many choices. They let us try samples of the BBQ beef, Belgium waffle, and chopped liver. Food was delivered quickly after ordering. They even offered to give us the recipes we wanted. Will definitely eat there again when in Ann Arbor. Oh, the sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had. I would go there just for them.

I have always lived nearby and knew of this prime corner of real estate here but never stopped in u til today. I am glad I have finally. On solo trip for work, I was pleased to stop by for breakfast.Surrounded by familiar options and the temptation to keep it safe, I parked my vehicle outside a nearby bagel shop. Spider-senses tingling telling me to come to Zingermans, I listened to my gut. I can say with confidence my gut is happy.The greeting was a bit aggressive and cold at the host stand, but I was hardly awake and the environment Initially was a bit “noisy” with the direct line of sight of the kitchen (which I like) and the decor. The gentleman who walked me, different from the one that greeted me was pleasurable.I was promptly welcomed by my server, Mandie, whom I can say is the reason I’d return, in addition to the food, she was great. She knows her menu, the culture, and is a professor in hospitality.I appreciated Mandie’s candor, knowledge, and overall worldly spirit. Full of recommendations and listens to you and what you’re looking for and finds things by also listening to what you don’t say.Working in sales and food & hospitality, this was a breath of fresh air that has otherwise been stale post/intra-endemic.They have a great establishment here. I noticed other servers (I overheard Sharon (sp?), who also has a great presentation.TL,DR: great menu, great servers, great cooks, a great experience. (Not just a meal)Thank you.

Zachary was my server and he was so attentive. I mentioned that I wanted something hot to drink because it was a chilly day. He asked if it was cold on the patio. When I answered yes, he turned the heat up. He also knew the menu very well and made great recommendations! I also love it when staff of a restaurant boxes my food up after the meal. I usually end up spilling some of the food. They also gave me a coffee and a biscuit to go. I’ll definitely be back soon! The staff at the front was also very kind.

Unless you can digest cheap oil like a champ, stay clear! 6 hours later this morning's breakfast sandwich is still haunting me, and this isn't the first time this has happened to me or my husband. Super heavy and weirdly filling food, but not in the good way. I do love the atmosphere and staff at the bar though. Stop for a beer and pimento cheese dip and chat with the bartended...then keep driving and eat elsewhere!

I do lap swim in a pool across the street. When I do, I think about what I am going to eat after I am done. This place very often comes to my mind. Food is good but expensive. I guess because you are hit with triple whammies. Ann Arbor... expensive. Anything Zingerman...expensive. Anything eating out nowaways...expensive..While swimming, I realized that Webbers Inn brunch would be about the same as my favorite fish soup and sweet potato fries here. Maybe it is a silly comparison but long story short, good food but bit expensive..When you go, definitely try sweet potato fries..

The food was absolutely disgusting. They gave my daughter uncooked burnt chicken. Then Sent out more raw chicken. I paid $143 ,and we still left a tip. My food was nasty and made my stomach hurt afterwards. Was very upset because I should've left when I seen the food
