This is a real gem in Auburn Hills. It's in a strip mall area so it's hard to notice. Had vegetable egg rolls which were excellent. Had grilled beef and also grilled beef vermicelli noodles. Both were good but I liked the beef better. They both came with egg rolls as well and although the looked like the appetizer ones, they were fried in more fish oil so they weren't to my liking as much. Next time I'll see if they can switch them. The chef for the fried rice was out when I went for maternity so wasn't able to try but will next time.

I want to return and give it another chance. My first and only visit, it appeared they were very understaffed. Once food was brought to our table, we were not checked on even once over the next hour. I simply left after a friend agreed to pay my bill. The beef shake dinner was very good. However, the sauce was a bit too much on the sweet side. Then, the extra egg fried rice I ordered was also far too sweet and I felt it in my stomach and could not eat any more of it. I'll probably come back and try something like their tom kha next time. I was not impressed this particular visit.

Since I tasted the food at Taste of Vietnam on January 7th, I have decided that I would never go to another Vietnamese restaurant in Waterford again. Today is my second time visiting here. Love the food, environment, and service here. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We ordered 3 bowls of Pho and were only given one small side plate of sprouts, basil, etc. for one bowl. When we asked the waitress for more, she said she would bring some, but never did. It was peak lunchtime when we went there but service was still sadly slow, we spent about 35 minutes waiting for our pho.

We like Taste of Vietnam. We has been there several times and have tried a variety of dishes. The service is attentive . Atmosphere is pleasant/relaxing and food is good. Last night I did the pho which I had 1 other time. It is a nice interpretation. Their fried rices and pork chop combos are very good. Jasmine tea is lovely we like the shrimp fresh rolls.

Im a Vietnamese, the food is out of my expectations. I love their noodles soup. Really unique. They actually make the soup. Try out the “bún riêu” if you are fan of noodles.
